Masa is a new steakhouse affiliated with Dive and Doughboys. It’s new and working through the new restaurant kinks. It seems more like a private dinner club with no more than 8 tables. It’s very quiet and dark. The food and cocktails were good overall. The crudo appetizer and crab claw soup were noteworthy. Overall decent experience but needs an infusion of an exciting vibe. I didn’t leave feeling special as I do in some other local competitors.

When you combine Chef Rich in the kitchen with Broc Smith running the show you get perfection. I cannot recommend Maso enough to my friends and family. Now I am hear recommending it to complete strangers!

This place is absolutely amazing.
We had the Iberian Pork Secreta and the Grouper and it’s some of the best food we have ever had!
There’s not a single note out of place and each bite is bursting with flavor, the perfect texture, and makes you want to savor each and every bite.
This place is truly top notch in every way and the full package from start to finish.
I truly feel that the food is a beautiful art form filled with so much finesse and passion.
I would go for a meal here over the Michelin restaurants I’ve been to before so we will definitely be back!!

Absolutely tremendous steaks and I am from the Midwest. Great sides and great wine selection. This place is quiet and cool.

This place is amazing. The filet was next level and the Iberico pork was damn near life changing. The Grouper was also a star of the table. This is definitely an elevated foodies spot. Come patient and willing to listen and take in all the food and wine descriptions from the waitstaff as well as the owners. They did a great job on their grand opening. Congratulations Maso!!!!

Incredible experience in a fun, intimate setting. From the moment I was greeted by a hostess outside of Doughboy Swift, I was surprised. I didn’t know what to expect considering there were no signs for Maso, and the hostess led me inside a pizzeria restroom hallway, into a private marked door. Immediately I’m greeted by a complete 180 of atmosphere…casually dressed cashiers replaced by fine dining servers. I take my seat and receive a champagne toast and various Amuse-bouches. The wine list can be overwhelming for those that aren’t wine savvy. Not to worry, the waiter gave me an excellent recommendation based on what I shared I liked. We ordered stone crab to start, followed by filet mignon and sea bass with Brussels sprouts to share. One of the best “foodie” experiences in Sarasota. High end, but not stuffy. We felt so at home and shared this experience with EVERYONE we know. This is the hot new place in Sarasota to be.
