My family and I love Torrence and Knox! We have three boys that love to go there for dinner- great food and such a welcoming staff! The outdoor area is really great- kids can play and hang out with their friends. There is also live music often and a fire. It’s the perfect spot for families but we also love to go there with friends. The owners are also very kind, amazing people!

Came in after hearing good things. Place is beautiful and festive for Christmas. Drink menu had something for everyone. Food was well above average. Artichoke Dip was a favorite of the group I was with. Duck Wintons were something I haven’t seen before and were excellent. I had the Chicken Picatta which is the best I’ve had outside of NY rest of the group raved about the prime rib sandwich. Was mildly upset that we couldn’t get the prime rib special which is only once a week. Service was great and we didn’t have to wait very long for drinks or food even when the place was crowded for dinner rush. Family run and it shows. We were waited in by the owners daughter and she couldn’t have been nicer. Over all very impressed and will return often.

We really wanted to like this place since it’s close and local. We even brought friends and family here multiple times hoping the experience would improve. Unfortunately, every visit has been ruined by the same old bald guy with the pubic hair–looking beard who is consistently rude and unwelcoming. If you’re going to work in hospitality, maybe try actually being hospitable.
The convenience isn’t worth the overpriced food (which is below average at best) or the drinks. There are much better options nearby. If you’re in Cornelius, do yourself a favor and go to the New York Butcher Shop instead—they have an amazing lunch and dinner menu. If you just want a good drink, Lost Worlds Brewing has great beer and a much better vibe.

HUGE THUMBS DOWN

I WANT to love this place. I have little kids and I love the picnic tables and the open green space for them to run around…it’s perfect! But the service is always atrocious. They have resorted to this really tacky qr service for the outdoor seating areas and it is slow, comes out in random batches, and partially incorrect. I feel like if they could get a solid staff and wait system this restaurant would be a neighborhood favorite.

What a little Jem. Found this place looking for a new casual dinner place near Mooresville. It’s very well done. The atmosphere was surprisingly casual and fun. It’s clean, great menu items. The food was delicious. Perfect for date night or family night. They do both! Definitely will be back. We did make a reservation but probably didn’t need to. May be based on the day and time

I’ve been there twice, once for lunch when they first opened and tonight for dinner. I enjoyed the grilled Brooklyn Chicken sandwich as lunch and the jumbo pretzel tonight, however I was disappointed with the burger I had this evening. I had asked for medium rare and it came out well done (not even a slight pink color to the meat). If I had been by myself I’d have said something, but I was with two friends who were enjoying their meals and I didn’t want to disrupt them. Hopefully this was just a one time mistake and if I order a burger in the future, I will let them know what my experience was this time and emphasize that I want the meat to still be pink inside. Other then that, our server was wonderful and the ambiance of the restaurant was very festive for the Holiday season.

Service was fine, atmosphere is really cool too! But have to give it 3 stars just because of the price of the food and the quality. It’s good, don’t get me wrong (except they overcooked the steak and had to remake it), but the prices just don’t align with what you get.

Would recommend as a cool place for drinks/cocktails though! Very well decorated/maintained

Potentially the most overpriced brunch menu I’ve ever experienced. The Bloody Mary is v8 and vodka with no seasoning in a rocks glass. 1.5 hour turnaround time for a 3 person brunch table. Maybe dinner is better, but I would avoid this place for brunch.

Visited here for the first time recently! We were quickly seated in the bar area, and the place really started to fill up which was nice to see. Service was very efficient and friendly! I had the Knox chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries, which were both hearty sized portions, and were fantastic! My friend had the prime rib sandwich which she enjoyed as well. Looks like they have a couple rooms that could accommodate private events! Great addition to the Lake Norman area.

We went to Torrence and Knox for a quick bite after a round of golf and boy were we pleased with the two appetizers we ordered. The Creamy Artichoke Dip was rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The Bavarian Pretzel was amazing and paired perfectly with the dipping sauces.
Our server Allen, was friendly, attentive and welcoming.
Great food, great service and a very fun atmosphere…..we’ll definitely be back!
