Saw this place on a news cast as best barbacoa in the valley. Thought we would check it out and see what all the hype was about. We showed up on a Fri afternoon ( to try the rest of the menu, no bbq)and it was pretty dead. Walked in and with no guidance, we sat ourselves. All the tables were dirty and the restaurant itself looked a little rough. It took a bit for someone to come out and work on our order. When she finally showed, we asked if she could clean the table and when she did, it smelled worse than it was when we got there. Bad water or bad cleaning towel, not sure. We ended up using our sanitizer and their napkins to get rid of the smell. Finally got the order in and it was barely like warm. It didn’t taste terrible but wasn’t great. The bistek was ok but the tripas we’re chewy. I asked for crispy but they missed the mark. Fast forward…….we paid and came back the following morning to try the barbacoa and tamales. Complete 180 on the food. The barbacoa we got was regular….they said it was greasy but for us it was perfect….great flavor, great texture great temperature….. No complaints…. definitely be back for that. Tamales weren’t bad either…..maybe we caught em on a bad day the Friday we went….a little on the fence here. Maybe give em another shot…..

So just to warn everyone I came here today to eat breakfast and as my friend went go pay the bill, A man came to take the payment who said he is the owner says to her that we came in a week ago and payed him with a fake bill. He then presented himself as a cop and said her needed her Drivers license and she needed to repay the again otherwise he was gonna press charges. He said he had her on camera paying over a week ago with the fake bill. So my question was then why didn’t he file the report a week ago. I believe this man like to do this to women and people who look vulnerable. And he might be cleaning his dirty money. Be careful paying in cash at this place. I will no longer be going to this place. I support small business but not ones who try to steal from people. Just a precaution but be careful if u go here.

Great place and the food is great. There are so many options from Breakfast Tacos to Raspas. The sandwichon is really good. The owners are also super friendly. I definitely recommend this establishment.

I ordered an order of tacos and they were filled with meat, that’s definitely a plus. Bistec was soft and tripas were perfect

The lady in the window was rude she seemed bothered to attend us and told us nothing on the menu was available besides like 3 things, mind you this is during the week so most of there menu says the food is available on those days also the last few times I came I do recall for a fact waiting 20+ minutes to get attended or get what I ordered but I kept giving them chances because I love supporting small businesses but this will be the last time I go unfortunately. I’ll give the food a 5 because it was never disappointed but the service my mom and I received was definitely not okay! Find another job if you are not happy with that one please!

The food was great. The people there were really nice. They answered all questions that my mom had about their food. It was very clean. The tacos & charro beans were amazing. The agua fresca de melon was AWESOME! Definitely need to try the other flavors!
