My wife and I had been wanting to stop in the newly remodeled Johnson’s tavern. We used to order dinners to go from Johnson’s fairly often many years ago, but we had kind of forgot about them until we noticed the remodeling activities.
Inside and outside, they’ve done a really nice job updating. The atmosphere is brighter and more open and inviting than it used to be.
We stopped in to pick up our to-go order for six people. We got cheeseburgers, hamburgers, fries, nachos, and potato skins. The service was friendly and polite. The young lady who took care of us made us feel welcome and appreciated. Our food was hot, fresh and delicious and the portions were large.
Our overall experience was great! Highly recommended!

We were a party of six. This was totally a positive time. Good atmosphere, food and excellent friends. A nice place off the beaten track.

Had a invite to go out and play! Jessica and Allyssa went as well. Had these apple pie shots which the girls really liked but at 4$ a piece with the strength was definitely to pricey. My long Island was good, just let them know which alcohol to use. The food there is good, Jessica liked the bone in wings and the fries, I really like their chicken and noodles, I got Gary the pulled pork sandwich with fries he really liked the brbq. I wish they would of had servers there that night but in all go check them out! Good food and great atmosphere. Remember tip your servers and bartenders

I have tried to like this place, everything is there to have a great establishment, except the food quality. The only enjoyable part of the meal was the cheese curds, and fried pickles. The burger was dry and flavorless, the steak had zero flavor. The hot sauce for the tacos tasted like a chemical had been spilt in it. This is not my first experience here, but it will be my last. There is no pride in that food at all.

Absolutely fantastic place to eat with family in spite of being a bar, staff was very friendly and welcoming; food was warm and delicious plus delivered in a timely manner. A special thanks to our server Kayla who was exceptional with the kids eating in our party and very friendly and fast.

at Johnson’s Tavern in Galveston northwest of Kokomo. we all liked the grilled tenderloin which was moist and lightly seasoned. none of us liked the breaded tenderloin which was greasy and mostly breading. the pork was lost. good crispy crinkle cut fries that weren’t greasy. soupy bitter coleslaw we didn’t finish.

We usually go to eat here and have always had good service and food. Service and food has definitely went downhill. Wouldn’t recommend eating in unless you have a ton of time.

I really like the new look of Johnson’s, so much brighter and more open, they went all out in making it better than it was before, and got rid of all the goofy stuff that was on the walls, my food was made hot and fresh to order, I had the pulled pork and steak fries, the pulled pork had a little bit burn on it but beyond that it wasn’t too bad could have had a little bit more flavor to it, I would say it was similar to some pre-made stuff that I used to get at GFS, my advice would be is to make that item fresh, you would get better results, beyond that very nice place, great atmosphere and great service, very affordable, and the bathroom was definitely interesting I’ve never seen urinals that look like beer kegs before, the bar looks really cool also, they have over 500 pennies as the top of the bar, definitely unique

Expensive, but good! Atmosphere is definitely indicative of this being one of the three places to eat in a small town. It can be loud and obnoxious to the point of having to yell to hear across the table. Despite that, the food is very decent. The burgers especially. Only caveat there is that it’s a small town diner charging big city prices.
