Finding parking is a little tricky. Another business effect by the electric tram nightmare.
First time visiting
Server was friendly, but service was slow.
Food was a little bland. Samosa and Tandoori was lacking salt.
But chicken was tender and samosa were crunchy.
I was not a fan of the sauce used for the momo. I thought I was eating bbq sauce.

Their specialty margarita was absolutely incredible, and they have some of the best Indian food I’ve had in Omaha. I ordered the saag panir and it was a perfect spice level and very flavorful. The portions are huge too, I walked away with easily another meal in a to go container. I’ll be coming back here all the time now.

I visited this restaurant recently and ordered Butter Chicken and Chicken Biryani. After tasting the food, I noticed the Butter Chicken was excessively oily and did not have the rich, buttery texture the dish is known for. The Biryani also felt heavier than expected.

I calmly mentioned this to the waiter — not to ask for a refund, not to create a scene — but simply to give feedback.

Instead of acknowledging the concern, the waiter responded defensively and said that I should have mentioned it earlier and that bringing it up after eating was “awkward.” The immediate assumption seemed to be that I was asking for compensation, which was never my intention.

That response felt dismissive and unnecessary. A customer sharing feedback should not be treated with suspicion. Professional service means listening respectfully, even if the feedback comes after tasting the dish.

The issue wasn’t just about the food — it was about how the concern was handled. Hospitality is not only about serving dishes; it is also about handling feedback with maturity and respect. Unfortunately, that was missing here.

Imo it’s hard to find good Indian in Omaha but this place is filling the gap finally! We’ve been twice so far and ordered both curries and biryani in addition to appetizers. The chefs really dial in the flavors nicely and use a lot of whole spices. We didn’t have a bad dish, they were all excellent. On top of that the server/owner is very personable and frequently checked on us. Definitely recommend!

Amazing INDIAN food. The staff is knowledgeable, the chef very interested in your reaction to his food. We ordered a dish that was too hot, chef remade it with less black pepper and wouldn’t let us pay for the remake. Each waiter knows the menu completely. It was the first time we’d tried wine from India and we loved it. We will come back and work our way through the menu. The only change we’d make, is the overhead lighting. Intense and ruins the atmosphere. This used to be the little Taste of India on Leavenworth, this is a much nicer space with more seating.

We had lunch here today. The food was average in taste. However, the biggest issue was hygiene — the glass water bottle looked like it had never been cleaned, with visible slime inside. This is unacceptable and completely ruined the experience.

Absolutely loved the food at Little India Restaurant in Omaha! The Chicken Biryani was flavorful and perfectly cooked, the Chicken 65 was crispy and spicy, and the Beef Pepper Fry was packed with bold flavor. The Porotta was soft and flaky — a perfect combo. I also tried their Blueberry Cocktail, and it was super refreshing and delicious. Great service and authentic taste. Highly recommend!

Food was top notch! We had many of the appetizers, and a couple main dishes. Try the pistachio ice cream for dessert! Love this place!

Food is absolutely wonderful, best Indian experience in greater Omaha. New location in Blackstone is warm, friendly, and has character.
Plan for a relaxed timeline. These are FRESH dishes and take time. With appetizers, entrees, and desserts two hours is a minimum.
Higky recommend Little India for celebrations.

Loved the new spot & the fact that now they have a cocktail menu . I do also hope they would add some Indian drinks to menu as well! That would be pretty awesome! We had the chicken vindaloo and the chicken tikka masala. The cheese and garlic naan were delicious!! We also had the chicken and cheese and just garlic naan!! Overall we enjoyed everything including my espresso martini! We loved Mother India and we love Little India too!!
