Rei Teppanyaki was excellent! I ordered the two-meat plate with steak and shrimp on spicy fried rice with veggies. The shrimp was cooked to perfection: juicy, flavorful, and just right. The steak was a bit overcooked for my personal taste, but it still had great flavor.
The fried rice with the Rei (spicy) sauce is definitely the way to go. It’s packed with flavor and has just the right amount of kick without being overwhelming. The veggies were fresh and nicely cooked, adding a good balance to the meal.
Portion sizes are huge, definitely more than I could finish in one sitting. Overall, great food, generous portions, and solid flavor all around. I’ll definitely be going back!

If you’re looking for exceptional food on wheels, Rei Teppanyaki is a must-visit. Their menu is a perfect blend of creativity and flavor, with each plate made fresh and packed with taste. The portions are generous, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the service is fast despite the truck’s popularity.
The steak and shrimp are a standout—perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and absolutely unforgettable. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality make it clear this isn’t just “street food”—it’s an experience. Highly recommend stopping by if you see this truck around town. Five stars!

They offer order ahead and were super friendly when picking up. I did have a slight problem finding them, they are in a food truck park that is pretty cool. I had the New York and Chicken combo with spicy fried rice. When they say spicy they sure follow through, I do think that the fried rice was lacking a bit of flavor though. I enjoyed the steak and while the chicken was a bit overcooked I would order it again. Great portion sizes, way more than one meal for me.

I ordered a chicken plate with fried rice with rei sauce and teryaki drizzled on top when i got home there was no fried rice it looked steam rice. No rei sauce or teriyaki sauce on it either. I called and they told me to go back with my plate. I get there and he refused to re make my plate and just gave me sauce but nothing about the rice. The guy there was not helpeful and rude. I go there once a week but i will not be going to it anymore.

The service here is really bad. I came here the first time at 12 and they told me they weren’t open yet. I gave him another try and I had $100 bill. My order was $45 and they claim they couldn’t break the bill. Their plates are expensive so I don’t know how that makes sense But I will never give this place a chance again it feels like they don’t want customers.

I’m ordering from here almost every Friday night when I’m not at work.
For starters, the staff is ALWAYS quick to greet their customers, and it’s always with a smile, and a positive attitude, even during their dinner rush, I’ve seen it first hand.
The tables are always clear of trash and wiped down clean.
They’re VERY GENEROUS with their portions, so the lunch and dinner plates are worth the price., (we never dine in, always carry out) I have a 7 minute drive from there to my home and the meals are always piping hot.
They never disappoint!!!
Always a happy customer here…
Today we ordered two dinners, one is steak with spicy fried rice and the other is a combo meat plate.

Always a solid plate , lunch special always worth it . Started going about 3 years ago in Atwater there was a older gentleman and younger woman that remembered me every single time cooked each plate exactly how I’d ask , and were always so nice , for that I’ve stayed loyal but really if you like hibachi you’ll like theirs .

Delicious! This is not my first time enjoying REI’s dishes. This particular visit I ordered the salmon and shrimp with steamed rice. I prefer the steamed rice because the fried rice does have a bit more oil than I prefer, but that’s why it’s called fried. Every aspect of the dish was cooked perfectly and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite! Keep up the great cooking!!
