This taco truck is the reason we no longer go out to eat at the local Mexican restaurants. The food is fresh and tasty, and so are the fruit drinks. We eat there at least once a week, and have yet to have a bad experience. We have tried many of their tacos, quesadillas, chile rellano (rare sighting), tamales, chuchitos and pretty much all of their aqua frescas…and have loved all of it! It is so nice to get a quick bite while sitting outside at the picnic table underneath the tent, with great food and kind service. Amazed at just how good a food truck can really be when it is done right.

I wanted to introduce my wife to Birria Tacos, so I looked up a spot and this was the place. Now Port Charlotte alone has numerous taco spots and trucks, but this truck is the only one making Birria Tacos. Ordering was easy, the owner taking my order was very polite, the wait wasn’t bad, I mean yea your going to wait like 15-20 everything is cooked to order and perfection and skill takes time and that’s exactly what you eat when you purchase food from Junior. The Birria Tacos were delicious the corn tortilla was toasted perfectly, the Birria meat was tender and generously seasoned, I also purchased a pork and cheese quesadilla with tomato, that too oh my goodness that too was very delicious, cooked perfectly the tortilla used for the quesadilla was toasted and pressed so perfect that every bite was a nice crispy enjoyable cheesey meaty perfection. Without a doubt I will continue to get tacos from Junior I have had all the trucks, ceasar’s taco, Danny’s taco, the crazy taco shop, the one at Gulf, and in my personal opinion this man is doing it the best and that’s not to say any of the other trucks or locations are lnt good, they just aren’t as good as junior.

I placed an order for pick up because I was craving some Falutas and not many food trucks have them. I was so disappointed, they were so dry and barely filled with steak. The tortillas were fried too hard and needed some cheese and sour cream. Like I said very dry and bland. The street tacos were okay, the tortillas are great and you can tell they are fresh.

I am a major food snob, That being said. I have tried every Mexican restaurant in the area but unfortunately have been disappointed. This food truck was so delicious! I didn’t expect it to be so good. It was flavorful, fresh, great quality, warm and comforting! Sorry no pictures since it was so late and dark outside… plus I was too busy eating! I wasn’t expecting it to be so amazing especially since it was around 8 at night. They aren’t lacking. I will absolutely be returning!

Was too good to take photo before I dug in !! lol We decided to try this place for lunch we each got the Birria tacos with beans and rice . The flavor was amazing!! The quality of the meat is wonderful there was no fat or chewy pieces ! You can tell the guy takes pride in his food ! I would recommend this truck to anyone looking for quality authentic Mexican food ! We will definitely be back

Let me start off by saying I dont write reviews, but I had to for this place. I ordered a chicken and steak taco to go. I was eating the food while leaving the gas station. I went about a mile and finished both tacos. The food was so good I turned back around to order me some more food to have for the next day. The food was absolutely delicious.

We decided to give this truck a shot over our regular go to spot and let me tell you it did not disappoint! The tacos were excellent. Good amount of meat and great flavor. Also, the rice was delicious- fluffy and perfectly seasoned. The prices were reasonable and we received friendly, fast service. We will definitely return, I can’t wait to try a burrito or some nachos!

Our favorite taco truck expanded to this restaurant and it’s just as amazing! The food is incredible, so fresh and delicious. Such a cute space they have revamped, great atmosphere. Please go support this well deserving local spot-you won’t regret it!!
