UGH! FOOD is pretty AWFUL! Upon entry, no one greeted me; but after a few minutes the young lady at the register (w/ male sitting alongside her) asked if I needed to be seated. I explained I was visiting for the 1st time, at the recommendation of the cashier at the neighboring The Outlet, and would be ordering a to-go order for three. I grabbed a menu from the counter and told the young lady I would get back to her after I reviewed the menu. After a few minutes, I decided to get the 15 piece chicken wings (bone-in), 1 side of regular fries and 1 side of sweet potato fries and asked if I could get just “flats”, I was willing to pay for it. I was told that the restaurant did NOT separate the wings like that, that I could only get a choice of seasonings. I asked for 1/2 lemon pepper & 1/2 mild. As I waited, I looked over my receipt and noticed that I’d been charged $5.99 for the addition of the 2nd seasoning. When I showed the cashier, she was surprised, pulled up my transaction in the computer,& stated their computer system had been updated and made a mistake. She re- rang my transaction and told me I’d receive a refund on my CC in a few days. Strangely within 6-7 minutes, my order was ready. RED FLAGS should have been raised (extremely quick chicken cooking time); instead, I was just anxious to get home after working 2 shifts & grabbed my food and left. I got home ,gave 78yo mom and 73yo aunt the food and headed to take a quick nap. An hour or so later, I woke up so hungry… Imagine my frustration & disappointment when I saw that my mom and aunt had eaten almost nothing! The meal I’d brought them was GROSS! the order of sweet potato fries consisted of 18-19 EXTREMELY BURNT fries and the wings I ordered were 95% drums (X flats) and seemed old, overcooked & dry! YUCK! When I called to speak with a manager, I was told the owner/manager was ill & unavailable. (Liz) Asked if I wanted the food remade. I said Id like a refund. She asked if I had the food and I said I did and would head out again to return everything. HORRIBLE FOOD! (12/11)

Today I ordered the sliders (on Hawaiian bread) with green beans (onion and BACON). I capitalized bacon, because they did not skimp on bacon!! The green beans took me back to my family reunion!! They were seasoned to perfection and it was a wonderful surprise!

Lonestar Burger is, in short, a great burger joint. The food was delicious and hot when served. Very juicy and well seasoned patty with fresh veg, and the bun was perfectly toasted. The burnt end sliders were wonderfully smokey, saucy, and delicious. The seasoned fries were crispy and hot, and they were generous with the portion size. The only reason I didn’t give 5 star on food is because any restaurant themed after the greatest state in the union had better have their banana pudding on point. I was not able to determine their status due to them being out when I dined in. I suppose if they ran out, it means it’s that good. I shall update the review after my next visit. The woman who served us was awesome and very friendly, and the atmosphere was very inviting and who doesn’t love everything Texas. Lonestar Burgers was a wonderful dining experience, which I will certainly be returning to experience again soon. If you are craving a great burger, this is your best place in midlothian.

We are new to the area and decided to try this place out. So glad we did. To be honest when we pulled up and it wasn’t crowded on a Saturday night I was questioning my decision to try it. So glad we did though! Food was delicious! My burger had bacon which was thick and flavorful, also had onion rings and Bbq sauce. All were delicious! The fries were perfectly seasoned and amazing. We will be back!

I normally love eating here we visit a couple times a month. Today was very disappointing my burger was made wrong and so were our fried pickles. I can live with that but I almost cracked my tooth on a rock… a rock that was inside of a fry. When I called I quickly got the impression that I wasn’t being believed and that a hospitable solution would not be found. This is extremely sad. The lady who took our order was kind though.

We’ve ordered takeout from this place twice. The burgers were great, but both times the fries weren’t packaged well for takeout and were extremely soggy and heavily coated in salt.

This place is amazing! Such a wonderful, flavorful, and juicy burger! This is the burger I’m always seeking when I’m looking for a good burger! I had the Philly cheesesteak burger with lettuce, tomato, and mayo, and I highly recommend it! I also had the fried mushrooms, which were great!! I was too eager to eat to take a photo, so here’s a pic of the wrapper.
