This is MUST-STOP place for cold sub lovers!!
The sub was delicious and had the perfect ratio of meat, cheese, bread, toppings. It also never came apart while we were eating it, which is a huge bonus!
The owner’s son was very nice to us and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. He made us aware of all the toppings options and pointed out things on the menu in a patient, friendly, and professional manner.
You have to give this place a try!!

Darla the owner saw my review below and immediately took action to make it right! She remade my sub to liking & resent to me with a delicious lemonade for free with a handwritten note of apology. DELICIOUS!

I was excited to finally see them on Door Dash! However, was not impressed with the 12″ Papa Bear. I paid .50 cent for EXTRA onion. There was NO onion, hardly no mayo, & for a 12″sub only had 2 slices of tomato & 2 slices of cheese also. The no onion ruined this sub for me completely. I am at work, so just can’t grab an onion to put on it. Not worth the money this cost, especially to door dash it. I really was excited

So my coworker had told me about this place and i was skeptical only because ive had mediocore experiences with other local sandwich places here in Bristol. My sandwich was outstanding. Im a sucker for a cold italian sub and you guys have nailed it. Perfect amount of meat sliced to perfection and the toppings to go along with it. They have the right ratios for meat, toppings, and bread. The oil n vinegar was also my fav. Perfect amount of flavor and not bitter n tart.
The workers were honestly some of the best ive experienced. Friendly, helpful, ready to explain any questions. If you are looking for love in your food i definately recommend Bear Subs. Great Job all around. I will be Back.

first time we went was okay, they were out of chili within two hours of opening which was a bummer but we still ordered.
second time food was less of an experience compared to the first time. the burger on our second visit was still pink in the middle of the patties so we threw it away.
they will only give certain customers free drinks, BOTH times we went someone each time got a free drink. i, of course had to hear about it the second time, because my child was with me.
its a bit rude to offer one child a free drink and not the other. kids pick up on stuff like that. you can’t pick and choose which customers you’re going to be nice to and extra friendly with and then other customers give the bare minimum effort. no smile, not the warmest greeting.
over all the food is pretty decent, hot dogs have been their favorite. just because of service, not sure if we’ll be back. i hope other people have a better experience than we did.

If you have not tried Bear’s Subs, you are missing out on great food. After being greeted with excellent professional customer service, and after I asked a few newbie questions, I elected to order the rotisserie chicken (chicken breast) wrap with a soda and chips. I’m not normally a wrap type of person, but the wrap I had ordered was off the chain, especially with the spicy relish, which they make homemade.
I also wanted to try their hot dogs , since the wrap was so good. And, what do you know, they make their own chilli too.
Like I said, “off the chain”! Moreover, I got this meal for ten bucks. Affordable? I would say so. This is a small business we must support. Don’t believe me? Try it for yourself.

We made arrangements to bring a large group of people here for Jan 1st! We called in advance, and were told they would be open. We had a group of about 40 people that showed up to have a new years lunch at 1pm (we were told they were open at 1pm)
We arrived at 12:55 and waited for a while. To find out they decided to not open.
We understand a lot of places are closed for Jan 1st. But we called days in advance!
Too bad you guys lost a lot of customers over this. But I’m sure you are busy enough so you don’t need business.

Excellent little hole in the wall joint. Other restaurant owners, this is how it’s done. Service? Great. Food? Great. Got the Papa Bear and thoroughly enjoyed it. Wish there was more hot pepper relish on it, but it was delicious. This place is an example of why it’s perfect to have a simple, streamlined menu. Other places try too hard with lavish, big menus, but when you have a smaller one, you excel at each item and experience more success!

Everything I’ve tried has been fresh and absolutely delicious. Fast, Friendly and professional staff. Great prices. They have indoor and outdoor dining. They do weekly giveaways on their social media platforms, which is just a bonus. I absolutely recommend them.
