We have soft serves including Dole pineapple, mango, raspberry, strawberry, we also make our own island flavors such as ube, coconut, macadamia nut, guava. Real fruit smoothies, malasadas, 100% certified Kona Coffee, real cane sugar Hawiian shave ice, musubi, loco moco, cake waffle sundaes, ube hush puppies, and more. Many of our items are gluten, dairy, and lactose free. You will also find merchandise such as custom stickers, t-shirts, local candies, tote bags, board games, musubi kits, etc. Our goal is to serve delicious food in a clean and friendly environment that promotes aloha , and also teaches the importance of being Pono.

Cute little Hawaiian joint with quality food. Much better than your typical Asian place and a great alternative to Chinese take out or the expensive and not good Sushi Gem. Wings were fantastic, some dishes over salty, and the mac a little bland. But $8 for 6 really really good wings is a great deal.

I’m born and raised in Hawaii and was visiting when I found this place so you know I was excited to have some local food but unfortunately the food was not up to standards of home. I had the chicken katsu, kalbi bbq ribs and a dragonfruit smoothie. The dragon fruit smoothie was the best thing. I do believe everything is over priced as well. The rice was dry almost tasted uncooked, the kalbi ribs were over cooked and the sauce was bland. The Mac salad was not flavored. The chicken kayak was decent but the dipping sauce was too bitter for my liking. I unfortunately would not go back but the facility was clean.

I would rate 5 stars, so the only reason I reduced a star is because they are not in a hurry, at all, to move food through. We were here for an hour – waited about 20 minutes for our molichiko chicken and another 20 for the waffle dessert after we ate.
The food – chicken was dry and very breaded, but the Mac salad and rice was bomb. We also ordered the island dream waffle dessert and that was totally worth the wait. Amazing, I could have died and went to heaven eating that waffle.
Food is excellent, so maybe worth the wait, but something to keep in mind. It’s set up like a quick in and out but that was not our experience. I’m sure as they get more experience, the service will be better. We will definitely be here again to try the teriyaki chicken.

Absolutely one of the best if not THE best spots to get food and drinks in this area! The food is absolutely amazing and the portions are so big! For the price I paid, I would probably only get half of what I was given at the OTHER place (you know the one, in Jacksonville). I live about 20 minutes away and it was well worth the drive. We were so impressed with everything! I am going to spread the word because I feel like not enough people are privy to this treasure. If they ever close, I am going to riot!

Seriously delicious. The plan was to have half the teriyaki chicken platter for dinner and half for lunch, but no such luck. It was so good that I ate it all! And I’m super picky about Hawaiian macaroni salad, but this was great! I was thrilled to find a very well stocked gift shop full of things I love that I couldn’t get local until now such as a Kona coffee and Hawaiian honey. I can’t wait to come back for soft serve and waffles and musubi and more chicken dishes! The rice was so perfect too! Anyone on or near Highway 17 in Hampstead, NC needs to stop in. Lots of free parking!

We just came from a vacation in Maui and couldn’t believe there was a place offering plate lunches local. We stopped here for lunch and were the only people there, the place was cute and they had a covered outdoor seating area to the side. Like others have said, expect some long wait times.
We got the teriyaki chicken plate and the mochiko chicken plate, both with rice and Mac salad. The teriyaki chicken was delicious and full of flavor, the mochiko chicken was okay. Mac salad just tasted like pepper and mayonnaise and had no carrots/onions in it.
Overall this place was good, seeing as this is the only Hawaiian place in this area I would definitely recommend it if you’re wanting to have a gateway to Hawaiian food.

Everything about this establishment is top notch! Such a treasure for Hampstead! Such unique food options and high quality merchandise! A true homage to Hawaii! Such a wonderful place to have a first time job for our community youth. Every one of the employees have been amazing and the management are so supportive and patient while allowing them to learn by doing. I could seriously go there everyday to enjoy all the different waffle options with a Kona coffee and my 7 year old is obsessed with the Dole floats! Can’t recommend enough! Go get a taste of Hawaii right in Hampstead!

Great first experience here and will definitely be coming back!! Pictured on the top left is chicken katsu, top right is the short rib and bottom is the mochiko. Macaroni salad was amazing, rice was delicious and pineapple salad was refreshing. We sat outside, such a peaceful setting.

First time coming here and I must say it was really good food. I would definitely come again for food. I haven’t read the sweet treats yet. I enjoyed the outside seating they have. The staff were nice and pleasant to talk to.
If I am to offer a critique of the restaurant I would say the food menu should be displayed on the wall with the sweet treats. I didn’t really care for the small food menu right next to the cash register. Could be an issue for people who wear glasses. Also had to bend down to read it and it was kind of small.
Other than that I would highly recommend and I could see myself going again.
