Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks delivers an authentic and satisfying introduction to Taiwanese street food in a casual, accessible setting. The menu focuses on bold flavors, crispy textures, and straightforward comfort dishes that feel both familiar and distinct. Food is prepared quickly without sacrificing quality, making it a reliable option in a busy food court environment. While the atmosphere is not designed for long sit-down dining, it excels as a grab-and-go or casual meal spot. The consistency across visits stands out, particularly with their fried items and beverages. Overall, Shihlin succeeds in translating night-market classics into a modern, approachable format that works well for a wide range of diners

We came here for a quick snack before shopping and it was great! For one thing, I think the location is a great concept. Lots of small restaurants with communal tables in the middle.
This Thai street food spot was a good find for us. First, it was run by the nicest woman who gave us a chicken sample while we figured out what to order.
We got all fried snacks including sweet potato with plum powder, mushrooms, and garlic chicky pop. All three we enjoyed! I especially liked the sweet potato flavoring, which I have never had anything like before. I don’t normally like Asian-style fried chicken either, but this one was actually delicious.
The portions were surprisingly filling for three shareable items, each around a $10.
I look forward to returning soon to try out the mango dessert.

1. Fried crispy king mushrooms was coated with batter meant for sticky rice cake (thick and sweetened), not the light batter meant for frying mushrooms. See pic. It was nasty and inedible not to mention my bag was mostly of the thick batter. 2. XXL chicken thigh was overly refried that it was almost black, inedible. See pic. 3. The chicken stew, had the color of soy sauce but had no taste…was the soy sauce diluted?
It was a complete waste of food and money. This last time I went was on an early weekday afternoon maybe the owner/chef wasn’t working? Because this was the first time I’ve seen this lady working the fryer.
The food at this location is so inconsistent that I rather get it from Fremont. Anyhow this last time was horrible, as much as I want to support this location, not sure I want to chance it again.

Definitely one of the best fried chicken we’ve tasted, the XXL Chicken Thigh is a must order from here. The portion size is generous and only $11. We also ordered the Oyster Mee Sua but this one though was just ok along with the Red Guava Aiyu Jelly drink. Overall, we’ll be back for the XXL Chicken Thigh!

Oh my goodness, literally best “hole in the wall” “mom and pop” shop for fried chicken ! You place your order by the kiosk by the end of this restaurant and wait for your order to be called. Grandma is strong running around, working hard, chopping chicken, and serving you with a smile . I can hear her greet her customers and thanking them for shopping. If anyone wants authentic Taiwan fried chicken from everyone’s grandma, come here!!!!

I think this is the best fried chicken I have had so far. To me, this is a very authentic fried chicken as I had in Taiwan. The cook time and temperature is perfect that makes the chicken juicy and not oily at all. They can help to cut it in pieces or as a whole. They even offer options for chicken thigh or breast. Will definitely recommend.

We ordered a shaved ice today and the taro was spoiled. I’ve tried to call so many times but the line was busy all the time. Still
Can’t get hold of them.

Great oyster mee sua, and fantastic fried chicken. Nothing more to say about the food
Unfortunately we went on a Sat evening and there was only one poor lady working the front. Obviously overwhelmed and doing her best with a nice attitude to it… but that was the only drawback.
And it’s in an Asian food court… nuff said
