Ordered a steak with chips. Chips looked like they were deep fried a second time. Although I could have ordered extra I didn’t as extra sides were too expensive. Therefore ok my plate there was just a steak and chips. Prefer a steakhouse where you get a bit of everything included in the price.

Myself and some friends get breakfast at bar and block every Friday, and have done for years. The food is great and fresh (wonderful poached eggs), you can have as much as you want, with unlimited tea coffee and juice. Incredible value, and Maia and Vicky have always done a great job looking after us. Can’t recommend highly enough for a brilliant breakfast.

We were the first people in with a 12.30 reservation. 2 for 1 cocktails for the wives, what not to like? Had far too much tapas so I was unable to order my preferred dish for mains, which was going to be the steak tasters. I hade the sausage sampler instead and it was really tasty. Lovely food, would love to come back again next time in Bristol.

I was in last night with my boyfriend for his birthday and it was an absolutely amazing experience! Even though it was a busy night we were seen to quickly and had drinks at the table in no-time! Our waitress Tara was very attentive,and friendly, making sure we were well checked on despite it being evident that they were short-staffed. I only mentioned in conversation that it was my boyfriend’s birthday and to both his and my surprise, he was brought out a birthday dessert which made his night. I can’t thank Tara and the rest of the team enough for such a fab and memorable occasion. Will definitely be back!!

A good clean large place to eat. The staff that served us (Tara and Cormac) were both excellent; really friendly and efficient. It was Sunday so we went for a Sunday Roast (1 lamb and 1 beef). It took a while to arrive (mid-afternoon) but was a good helping. However, it had obviously been reheated. The lamb was tough and the beef was dry. The parsnips were actually burnt to black. Worse part was that the Yorkshire pudding was not defrosted properly and half of it was icy cold. Sadly, even though the serving staff were excellent and understanding (they did offer free dessert or coffee), it is not a place I will return to. It will also make me wary of other branches.

This was our first time to Bar and Block and it did not disappoint. The food was first class and the 2 for 1 on cocktails was definitely used. Tara the hostess was amazing and looked after us all night. Will definitely be back again.
