My first time experience was excellent. I went on Valentines day. I can honestly say that I loved everything I had. The atmosphere wasn’t bad. My server Jessica was VERY nice. The food was fresh and very nice portion size. The price was fair. I had calamari I forgot to take a pic. Served hot and wasn’t chewy(thank god) made just right. The mushroom soup good. I had shrimp and broccoli with white rice. I also had sushi. Everything was ddddddelicious . I definitely will be returning soon.

Delicious rolls!! Staff is super nice and attentive. We came in last minute and staff was super accommodating and we got our food quickly. The yummy yummy roll and chesapeake bay rolls were really good and I wish I took pictures. I was here years ago when the place first opened so I was excited to go back. I will be back soon- thank you for an awesome experience for my friends and me!

Excellent food and quick service. You never have to wait long for your food to come out and the quality is top notch and always fresh. We ordered the beef teriyaki and the lunch special (choice of two types of sushi rolls) and both came out quick and were very good.

My husband and I used to go to Tomo once a week or so and the new management has ruined it. They used to have tons of unique options and cared about the product they produced. Today, we saw the hostess yell at customers, which never would have happened before. And the changed menu was riddled with spelling mistakes and far less fresh ingredients before. If you love sushi rolls filled with cream cheese and deep fried, this menu is for you. If you like fresh ingredients with vegetable crunch and quality fish, avoid this new menu at all costs.

We’ve eaten at Tomo twice. The service was great. The food was served hot and fast. The restaurant itself is not very up to date. The benches are double sided and move. So if someone is sitting on the opposite side of you, it can get uncomfortable.

Unfortunate experience. It’s rare that I have to send food back. Then the replacement was no better 🙁
The sides were great though! The miso soup and green salad were amazing. It’s the teriyaki meals that were…unusual. Both the chicken and beef tasted like fish and the sauce was right about the worst teriyaki sauce I’ve ever tasted – flavorless and runny. Very strange that it’s one of the highest price entrees on the menu.
I did not try the sushi though, so maybe I missed out on their signature food and found the worst one on my first try.

The Zen Life
I’m afraid I have bad news for fans of Tomo in Arundel Mills area. I have been enjoying this little sushi place for over a year now, and very happy. However, yesterday I had lunch and didn’t recognize anyone. My miso soup was nearly all broth. I thought that odd, hardly any tofu or seaweed. Then my salad, smaller than usual with only one slice cucumber and no grape tomato. What’s going on? I asked my waitress and sure enough… new owners. Friends, I am not a best selling author on business, but I know its not good to take over and alter the quality and or portions to increase profits. Existing customers notice and feel cheated. I will try again , but I think they are doomed

Had a great early dinner at Tomo Asian Cuisine in Hanover, MD! We were seated right away, and our food came out super quickly. Our server was kind and attentive. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful – we had the General Tso’s Chicken with fried rice, Scorpion King Roll, and American Eagle Roll. Each dish was delicious and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality Asian cuisine in the area!

Absolutely abysmal service, waiter was more interested in being right then educating or explaining. Then the rest of the staff proceeded to speak I’ll of us, assuming we couldn’t understand or hear. What an absolute shame, will recommend to everyone to go somewhere else.
