My mother and I come to get donuts every year we come down to Watsonville. I will say they are Hands down the best donuts in California. They are fresh, Warm, soft and tasty. They are extremely friendly and courteous I wish they had a shop in Walnut Creek .

Stopped by Top Donut for the first time recently. The woman behind the counter was friendly at first, but when I asked what time the apple fritters were made, her response felt dismissive — she said I don’t understand your question does it matter what time they were made.
I explained that I was simply asking based on past experiences at other places where pastries are sometimes from the day before, and who doesn’t like to eat donuts just out of the oven. I wasn’t trying to offend — just asking a valid question. The interaction could have been handled in a much more courteous and welcoming way.
Unfortunately I decided to not purchase anything
Customer service really makes a difference, especially for first-time customers. Hoping future visits reflect a more positive experience.

Great donuts. Everything is very fresh. I saw that they have bagels too if you don’t want anything sweet. The coffee was above average. Lots of parking. Give it a try if you like donuts.

Best bagels in town! I always come here for my bagels. Loaded with cream cheese & soft/crispy bread (not dry), unlike other bagel spots in town. Local family owned business that has been providing some of the best service for years. The owners are super sweet 🙂 Donuts are also delicious & if you are vegan, they are made with vegetable shortening. I guess the new policy is $18 min for card transactions but given that is family run & has a nostalgic old school vibe to it, cash is better . Thank you for all the hard work you guys do & for being a local staple in this town.

They’ve built their business for years, with amazing service and donuts. Literally part of my childhood. One star because that is so done and over. Horrible service 🙁 cannot believe how rude the lady here was my to mom. The prices are so unbelievably whack and out of line. Classic donuts are fabulous but the pinky sprinkle surplused ones in their “assortments” are nothing worth paying what they ask. Do not go here.

My favorite donut shop in Santa Cruz County. If you go between 6:55 to 7:05am any day the glazed with chocolate top will be freshly made.
What I like about Top Donuts is the consistency and quality of the dough and chocolate. Most of the other donuts from other shops are either too dry or too greasy. They’ve done a fantastic job in that regard. The chocolate is also the bomb. It’s not overly powerful sweet, but just perfect.

Im sure people been going here for a long long time.. In my opinion the donuts are okay.. I have noticed that they save whatever is left over to sell the next day.. Some of you might like them day old donmuts at full price but I would rather ha e fresh.. I usually go to east lake for my donuts because I know they always fresh.
