Good place, nice owners, clean, good food, proportions are off and very pricy for what you get. For 16$ you can get 3 small peices of fish and a tea spoon of coleslaw, half a pickle
and no drink. I went here everyday for a year and a half and the food is good but the price and proportion is simply a ripoff ill just go to the Hays in town. If your hungry dont go here

the smoked mac&cheese was very good. the mustard potato salad was also very good. had the mild barbecue sauce. it had a fantastic flavor. now for the star of the meal, the pulled pork is wonderful, smoked to perfection! and juicy as can be. a great barbecue place.

Right off the bat they let me down! I noticed this little BBQ shack masked as a Ma & Pa shake shack and got excited. Who doesn’t love those old shake shacks?! No shakes. Ok, no biggie. On to the bbq…. No beef bbq; only pork. Now, before I get called crazy, not everyone eats pork, including myself, for various reasons. And yes, BBQ is traditionally accepted as being pork here in the south, however, there’s always at least one other style (usually beef). Again, nope! So I had to all but settle for an over seasoned chicken breast on a bun that was too soggy from their extremely thin sauce to even pick up and eat. Great!!! Trucking along to the sides: baked beans and mac & cheese. I would apologize for what I’m about to say, but the only thing I’m truly sorry about is the fact that I spent $30 on disappointment begging to be nostalgia via comfort food because those sides needed to stay INside that shack. Baked beans should have some amount of brown sugar at least. Those things tasted more akin to pork and beans with some vinegar or maybe ketchup (?) thrown in for posterity’s sake. I dont even want to waste anymore of anybody time describing the smack & cheese product.
In other words, just don’t. All this hype is just local folks being supportive.

I’m just rating for realistic expectations. I have no idea why people are giving it 5 stars. Maybe they have never had bbq and have nothing to compare it too. If you like canned bbq this place is for you. If you like good bbq probably better stop by Hays and get some meat and charcoal.

Let me start by saying it takes a lot for me to leave a negative review. The food is HORRIBLE. My husband and I both ordered cheeseburgers and he added fries. The meat was grey and tasted awful. I had one bite. The fries weren’t great, but that wasn’t the main problem. My husband ate half of his burger and a few fries, and got sick almost immediately after getting home. He got food poisoning from eating half a burger, since it was the first time we had eaten all day. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Run of the mill small town slop. I’ve eaten a lot of BBQ in my life, and it’s a big stretch to call what they serve BBQ. Got a pulled pork sandwich… that’s hard to mess up but it was pretty bad. Got a rack of ribs too and they were almost white like they weren’t even smoked. With all the instructional videos available teaching folks how to make god BBQ it’s hard to mess it up, but for at least one meal this place certainly managed. If you’re passing through, I’d recommend you keep going.

If I could give them a ten rating I would! The food was absolutely delicious. We’ve never had better BBQ. The owners & staff made us New Hampshire ladies feel so welcomed. Their hospitality was top notch and speaks volumes for the people from Arkansas. You guys are the best! Laurie & Jane
