Mom and Pop restaurant! Its authentic Japanese in a very comfy home type environment. The owners are such loving people they conversate and get to know everyone they come in contact with. Its my family’s favorite go to restaurant. Delicious food with very generous portions. The chicken teriyaki bowl is my personal favorite thing to order. The udon noodle soup and all the sushi rolls are amazing! The cold green tea and green tea ice cream are an absolute must when you come here though. We just had lunch there today, the ramen soup and udon noodle–delicious.
If you havent been here yet you are missing out!

Homely and authentic Japanese restaurant managed by two old couple. We went during off peak time (3-4pm) and had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Loved the restful ambience as we ate and watched the TV. Food was nice too, good prices. Would love to be back.

You would think by the decor this place wouldn’t be as delicious as it is but don’t let the card tables and outdoor patio chairs fool you the food is amazing. I ordered my food for carry out and I was pleasantly surprised with the friendly workers fast service and amazing food .

The best authentic Japanese food in the Valley! The owners are kind and gracious and the atmosphere is laid back and friendly. The food is simple and authentic, no fake sushi rolls with Chipotle or cream cheese to be found here.

This place is very mom and pop Japanese style. When you first come you’ll be greeted by older couple -Over time they will share Japanese culture and ask you how your family is doing. I’ve been going here for years and the food is delicious sushi is fresh and the atmosphere family style. The imperial valley doesn’t offer much option for sushi-but this couple undoubtfully offers the best here.

Excellent sushi, the spicy tuna is truly delightful. There’s many imported beers to choose from and the flavors are those of authentic Japanese cuisine. I felt it to be on the more expensive side in comparison to some of the other offerings in the vicinity. For a family of four it was close to $80.00.

Pricey but pork cutlet soup is really good, as is the pork cutlet bowl. Friendly service as well.
UPDATE: Sadly, Kyotos is no longer in business and the owner of the restaurant personally called to let us know. This was the best Japanese food in the valley.

One of my favorite places to have a meal in the valley. Prices are a bit high but SO worth it considering not many real Japanese restaurants here. I haven’t tried any raw dishes only hot. I usually go wen I get kanack attak.
