Well, as it often does, we started our journey with some snacks in mind. It’s the holiday season, we weren’t super hungry, but we wanted to try this new place. Are you hungry?, go here! Now! For the aggregate selection of sushi and sheer variety, you can’t go wrong. I’m thinking the only negative point may be a slightly undercooked tempura shrimp(batter) . But the service was great, process very fair, and my company was sushi challenged.. or chop stick challenged.. I’m sure we’ll try it again. Overall, good and fast for as busy as they were. I’ll be taking my time next trip. I’ll try different things as the do have a good selection. They do limit you to two hours for the all you can eat plan.. good luck!

Did a take out sushi dinner right before Christmas.
We ordered the 4 roll special (Lion King, Rainbow, Dragon and Double Tuna).
We were pretty hungry and I love Miso soup and my wife is a fan of seaweed salad.
In for a penny in for a pound 😉
The sushi rolls were in a really nice round container that had pickled ginger, wasabi and some assorted greens to make a nice presentation. For take out – I was glad to see how much time they put into the presentation – for take out!!!
When I got home, we dug in. The seaweed salad was huge – much too much for 2. It was well flavored and tasty.
The miso soup was also well done. A nice rich broth with some tofu and chopped spring onion. The broth was richer, tastier than a few I have had in the past from other restaurants.
The rolls – wow, every single one was absolutely delicious. The Rainbow with such fresh fish on top of a well rolled crab/avocado center. The Double Tuna was rich with sashimi grade tuna inside and out.
The Lion King and Dragon were sweet and savory (and cooked – that’s how my wife rolls).
We didn’t finish all the rolls. Had them for lunch the next day 😉
Overall, very tasty, friendly staff and fine presentation.

Osaka Sushi is probably the best place to get all you can eat sushi and Japanese entrees for a really fair price in Redding, Ca. As compared to Yama Sushi and Tokyo garden, Osaka Sushi has very good blend of both businesses offering a variety of authentic japanese flavors and options. It blew my mind to find out that their entire menu except for drinks and beer and a few desert items were part of the experience. Sadly this place does not serve my favorite Japanese street food Chicken Yakutori Skewers but they do have a solid Takoyaki. I give this place 4.5 stars out of 5 stars. Until they offer Chicken Yakitori Skewers I can’t give a higher score.

I found Osaka Sushi when I was around the area and decided to try it. Honestly I didn’t expect too much at first but it turned out really good.
The sushi was fresh and tasted really nice. Everything looked clean and well made. The place is also pretty comfortable and the staff were friendly.
