Fantastic pizza. Great owners. Called at 2:00 for a 5:30 pickup and was told it could be ready in 15 minutes if I wanted! This was awesome news as they took some flack when they first opened this location because of their ordering system (which is basically a simple call ahead process)

Ordered a plain round and a sourdough square with pepperoni. Both pizzas were amazing, but the sourdough square was one of the best I’ve had.

If you passed on getting pizza from Rosie’s because you’re afraid of ordering ahead, give them a try – you will not be disappointed!

We went in to try their sourdough pizza, it was really good. It had basil leaves and olive oil on top.
They dont have a huge menu choice but we will be back when we want pizza.

Fantastic pizza, a really nice and clean restaurant, and the staff was really nice! Their dough is world class.

Edit Sept. 30, 2025 – bought dough the day after we ate here and made a pizza at home. Their dough is a national treasure. Added picture of what we made at home with Rosie’s dough.

I feel compelled to write a review due to the onslaught of negative reviews for this wonderful pizzeria.

In my Italian and pizza obsessed opinion, this place has the best pizza around. The ingredients they use are high end, the dough they use is airy, light, and thin.

Their square is light and fluffy while still maintaining a crispy bottom crust. Their round pies are AMAZING. I usually get the Cheese, Roni, or Meatball pizza.

Before their Middletown location opened and When I was not at the shore, I happily drove 40 minutes to get their Pizza at their original PPB location. I am happy to now cut that time in half. I am a pizza snob and will refuse to get pizza from most of the local places due to how amazing Rosie’s pizza is. It’s not worth the calories to me to get pizza from anywhere else. I’ve been a fan since they opened in PPB and I am more of a fan due to this new Middletown location.

When I first started ordering from Rosie’s there were times that I would be frustrated due to not being able to place an order (due to selling out of pizza/dough), or simply due to late time slots only being available (this is a great sign), but I understand that due to the effort and time it takes to make these pies, they simply cannot mass produce them when compared to the lesser-quality ingredient local spots that you may be able to walk into and grab a slice. That being said, after learning their system (how to order), and how to plan ordering ahead of time, I am happy to say that my ordering experience is beyond satisfied.

I have no ownership in this company (but I wish I did), so I can honestly say that once you learn the way they work, it will be much easier to order and enjoy your pizza.

If you’re thinking about giving them a shot, please do. As someone who is a huge pizza snob, this place is top tier!

I’ve been to Rosie’s a number of times since it’s opened and have had consistently good experiences each time. The commenters that are hating on this place just don’t like change or new experiences. The food has been great every time, the sourdough crust is so good. We’ve had no issues ordering or picking up. If you want to go to the same pizza place you always go to and order one slice from an app then please do. This is not that place. Come here to get a homemade experience.

I called in at noon a few days ago and go my slot for 1pm. The system is certainly not common to most people in the area but once you understand the system they use with time and a fixed number of dough for the day, it’s pretty simple to understand. If you are expecting your standard type of NJ pizza service you are not familiar with how they run Point Pleasant. Their formula is spot on and I understand why they are so stringent with the system to ensure the best quality time and time again.

The pizza was very good and reasonably priced. Nowadays pizza is very expensive for sometimes so so quality. With Rosie’s it wasn’t too expensive and was an excellent lunch. I could have eaten the entire pie in 15 mins if I didn’t have to share it. I got a round but will go back for the square soon.

Truthfully, I do not understand how this place is not swimming in 5 star reviews.

When I type the word “passion” I want you to imagine all of emotions and decisions that go into putting your all into something day in and day out. That passion for the craft, quality, look, and feel of perfection is what describes this place.

The pizza is amazing, perfectly thin, light cheese, a nice deeply flavorful sauce that is not sweet and has that natural tomato tang, with a crunchy yet bendable crust. Every part of the pizza is good, even the crust!

The meatballs are genuinely some of the best I have ever tasted, the tomato sauce is just perfect really. Amazing richness in dense but not fatty meatball, great flavor overall.

The guys up front are incredibly respectful and patient, they want to serve you in a way that is beyond the satisfaction of the pizza. Which is saying something because the pizza is that good.

Overall, it’s impressive how much time and effort goes into the freshness of the ingredients, cleanliness of the establishment (literally spotless!), and the feel of quality in such a small menu. The smaller the menu the easier it is to perfect your craft!

The owner is a great guy with wonderful stories, one day you should all stop, eat, and listen.

The pie was top notch. Crispy even by the time we got it home. Highly recommend giving this spot a try. It was harder to get pies when it first opened but now less swamped. The ratings are really low for how good this pizza is.

So I don’t understand the hype behind this place. Perhaps they are creating it with their absurd long wait times or hard to get pizza. Expect to wait 15-30 minutes on hold to place an order. Upon picking up the order, if you have a 5:00 pick up, they will literally make you wait until 5:00 on the dot. It’s super weird tbh. The owner talks to the teenage employees literally demanding them to pay him attention saying “I’m the boss you do as I say” which is kind of a turn off. He literally threw a hissy fit while they were helping customers at the counter. Definitely wont be back. Between the difficulty to order and his sour attitude. Not good for business. It’s pizza for crying out loud. And I’ve had the big NY names, Di Fara, Totono’s. This is nothing like it is if that’s what they’re trying to make it. It almost looks as if this location is a pop up. Don’t give him to their made up hype.
