I had the pleasure of visiting Chimac on the first day of its soft opening with a friend Despite the kiosk menu lacking some pictures due to the soft opening, the owner provided excellent explanations. The prices were reasonable, adding to the overall positive experience

I came here for the first time yesterday and I really didn’t know what to expect. We ordered from a tablet at the table and it was really cool. When you place your order it rings the kitchen. I also got the fried chicken which was amazing. The server was super friendly and even explained the food options. The best part? The kimchi was actually spicy. Most chains make it bland. But not here!! Can’t wait to come back!

I loved Korean style chickens in Chimac. It was the most delicious chicken I’ve ever had in the US. The taste is almost same as the chicken that I had in Korea. I’m really happy that this kind of restaurant is in Auburn. I’m sure that this place will be one of my favorite restaurants.

Chimac is one of the best Korean restaurants we have in auburn/opelika area! The services are amazing. Me and sister never had any issue when we go. We always get the Korean fired chicken(1st picture) kimchi fried rice(2nd picture), and sometimes the spicy ramen. BUT our absolute favorite meal is the Green Onion fried chicken(3rd picture)! Personally, I LOVEEE onions. It’s just a complex dish, and you can the chicken with or without the sauce. If you’re deciding to try Chimac, go for it!

I’ve always loved Chimac — their food is amazing, and I always order their fried chicken. The employees I’ve interacted with before have been very nice and friendly, which made me a loyal customer.
However, I recently had a very uncomfortable experience with one of the staff. I placed an order by phone and repeated myself several times to be clear, but the Korean girl who took my order was very rude. She insisted on charging me extra just to substitute wedge fries for regular fries, and when I tried to explain, she dismissively said she has been working there a long time and has “never heard of that.” The way she spoke completely changed how I viewed the restaurant, which is disappointing because I really enjoy the food.
If someone doesn’t have the patience or attitude for customer service, then working in this type of role might not be the best fit. I still love Chimac’s fried chicken, but this experience really left a bad impression.

This place serves good Korean-style fried chicken. The only thing missing is some appropriate ahnjoo (food for drinking) that pairs with soju.

INCREDIBLE FOOD, SERVICE, AND ATMOSPHERE. Tried the K-Wings with Red, Honey-Mayo, and Fire sauces and they were fantastic, the ramyun served at lunchtime is also a must-try! People giving low ratings with complaints about the menu changing from the old Tiger Bowl offerings may not understand the concept of a SOFT OPENING period, and that at this point they’re still trying new things, looking for patron feedback, and making adjustments to the menu. The manager and staff are incredibly kind and generous and have made sure our experiences dining there have been amazing every time. Eat here!
