The cleanliness and how well the food was displayed. We ordered the meat pies they were fresh and full of flavor, the fried catfish and shrimp was amazing and fresh.

Only reason why I’m giving this place 3stars is because the customer service was great. The food was horrible. I ordered the shrimp and fish with fried rice and a shish kebab. I don’t know if it’s was the seasoning but everything tasted sweet to me. I drove almost an hour to try this place and I wasn’t satisfied at all. I don’t know if it was the time of day I went, but not too many food options available.

I was cruisin the neighborhood lookin for crawfish, I saw their sign out front and pulled over. There was a long line, but I took that as a good sign.

Y’all the crawfish is fire They do it good and spicy, cost about $6/lb and they give ya a free pound every time you buy 5lbs so I got 9lbs but paid for 8lbs. Definitely will be back.

They got boudin too.

This establishment doesn’t season their food well, I’m highly upset that I’ve ordered twice from this restaurant and on both occasions the food was bland.

I absolutely love the store on the westbank so I had to try this store since it is closer to me, let’s just say I was highly disappointed. The rice which I love from the westbank is DELICIOUS……the Franklin store did not copy and paste the recipe.

(LONG but actual experience)

This was my second time visiting this restaurant and unfortunately it’ll be my last.

The store setup is like an assembly line, which I don’t mind, but both times I’ve come I’ve waited about 30 minutes just to get a fresh plate of food. It seems like they’re consistently struggling to keep the bins stocked with hot fresh items and there were several other customers waiting alongside me this time.

When it was finally my turn the plate was already closed before I could even see what was inside. I kindly asked the woman helping me if I could take a quick look before she wrapped it and I’m glad I did because what I saw was a plate with broken pieces of fish instead of the two full pieces I ordered. I calmly let her know that I didn’t want a plate full of random fish bits and asked for two solid pieces. I work in the restaurant industry myself so I always try to be respectful and polite.

Her response shocked me. She immediately became loud and dismissive insisting that it was my plate and I needed to pay. Another employee, a Black woman, joined in and began raising her voice too. I didn’t argue I just left. I don’t do confrontations and I don’t think anyone should be treated that way especially when they’re being polite and spending their money.

It’s frustrating when businesses open in predominantly Black neighborhoods but don’t treat their customers with basic courtesy and respect. We deserve the same level of service and professionalism as anyone else. I won’t be back. ( update: I will not be returning this reply from the owner is because the review is public, please address the customer service and racism with your staff internally no need to reply here other reviews reflect the same treatment if not worse. )
