Y’all the crawfish is fire They do it good and spicy, cost about $6/lb and they give ya a free pound every time you buy 5lbs so I got 9lbs but paid for 8lbs. Definitely will be back.
They got boudin too.
And seafood fried rice.
Omg these are good cooked layered with onions. Dipped in hot teriyaki sauce.
For $9.99 best lunch value in nola
This was my second time visiting this restaurant and unfortunately it’ll be my last.
The store setup is like an assembly line, which I don’t mind, but both times I’ve come I’ve waited about 30 minutes just to get a fresh plate of food. It seems like they’re consistently struggling to keep the bins stocked with hot fresh items and there were several other customers waiting alongside me this time.
When it was finally my turn the plate was already closed before I could even see what was inside. I kindly asked the woman helping me if I could take a quick look before she wrapped it and I’m glad I did because what I saw was a plate with broken pieces of fish instead of the two full pieces I ordered. I calmly let her know that I didn’t want a plate full of random fish bits and asked for two solid pieces. I work in the restaurant industry myself so I always try to be respectful and polite.
Her response shocked me. She immediately became loud and dismissive insisting that it was my plate and I needed to pay. Another employee, a Black woman, joined in and began raising her voice too. I didn’t argue I just left. I don’t do confrontations and I don’t think anyone should be treated that way especially when they’re being polite and spending their money.
It’s frustrating when businesses open in predominantly Black neighborhoods but don’t treat their customers with basic courtesy and respect. We deserve the same level of service and professionalism as anyone else. I won’t be back.
