I love spicy food but this was spicier than dishes I’ve had in Ghana haha. I wasn’t expecting the awaze tibs to have jalapeños but otherwise it’s great. Very tiny place and it was hard to find at night because the sign on the building does not have any lights.

This is now officially my favorite Ethiopian restaurant ever and I have been eating this cuisine for more than 15 years. The ambience is admittedly very humble ,and simple but very warm, lively and full of life.
The food here is simultaneously “old school” and “next level.”
It feels like I am visiting someone’s home. I am gluten free and it is reassuring that they offer pure teff injera bread (unlike many restaurants which use the cheaper version of teff mixed with wheat.
The authenticity cant be denied. I truly feel like I have left the country. The pace is comfortingly slow and unhurried.
The owner is oh so kind with ahumble, attentive, and caring manner. He comes by and checks on everyone’s food experience , and not in that intrusive, showy “I want to justify how important I am to you so you can give me a big tip” manner so unfortunately common in may of my other dining out experiences. Dont’t come for a fine dining experience. Come if you want a “real” experience:)

Only one older man works here, you’ll be waiting FOR EVER , ONE HOUR…. then the injera is cold and the back looks kind of dirty…
Just not a top tier Ethiopian restaurant and I been to many . No one was even at the counter for 40 mins. I mean he is cool but constructive criticism goes a long way, he needs more people to help him

The kindest people you’ll ever meet! I’ve been coming here since the day they opened, and the food is always incredible, made with so much love and care. Both owners are from my mom’s ethnic group, so every visit feels like a trip back home with my family in Ethiopia.
My best friend and I hosted our joint birthday here this past Friday, and it couldn’t have gone more perfectly. Thank you both for hosting us and making it such a special night! 10,000/10!

Decent authentic Ethiopian food. The veggie platter was ok, I expected more flavor. They were out of a couple items I asked for so I settled for the veggie platter. They make their honey wine, my friend said it was really good. The coffee at the end was super strong with grounds in it.

First time trying Ethiopian food….. Glad the super kind guy told me to get the food cooked because some of the dishes are served raw. This was one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at in my life! Very very good positive vibes and attitudes here… Would recommend to literally anyone. I will go back very soon when my affairs permit. Food… Service… Was perfect.
