Last night we finally made it to Bonnie’s Bread & Butter in downtown Chandler—it’s been on my list forever! We went specifically for the fondue and the bread bowl with the butter candle (I mean, come on… how could you not?!).
When we got there, they were out of fondue and we were honestly just going to head somewhere else. But as we were walking out, this lovely woman stopped us at the door, asked what was wrong, and when we explained, she said something like , “Well I’m Bonnie, I own the place—let me go check!”
A few minutes later, she comes back from the kitchen and says, “Take a seat, we’ve got you.” And sure enough, they made the fondue happen!
We ended up having such a wonderful night—the fondue and butter candle bread bowl did not disappoint. The atmosphere was so warm and cozy, the service was amazing, and there was live music—a woman singing and a young boy playing piano. It felt like something out of a movie.
We’ll definitely be back. Loved the food, loved the vibe, and loved getting to meet Bonnie herself. So sweet!

This was our second time here and absolutely did not disappoint!! The first time we pulled in the location made me pause. But I am so glad we went in. The food is so good!! It is a favorite of my kids!! Bonnie is an absolute delight. This local restaurant is a must stop! Both times we had the classic fondue and butter candle bread loaf. We also had the shrimp sandwich. Everything was delicious.

This is a hidden gem near downtown Chandler. I went on a Friday night with my girlfriend and a group of four friends. The ambience was relaxing, welcoming and perfect for a date night or group hangs. Everything is made fresh to order. We started with the fondue plate-generous enough for all six of us, and perfect if you’re craving something light but flavorful. Our server Logan is a cocktail wizard: the watermelon martini tastes exactly like a jolly rancher (in a good way) and the Orange Mojito was packed with delicious citrus flavor. I and my girlfriend shared the Italian sandwich-fresh bread, freshly sliced meats and flavor that puts franchise sandwich chains to shame. The owner, Bonnie, personally came out to chat with us. She is warm, genuine, and clearly passionate about serving quality food and creating a community vibe. Support local and get better quality food from people who care about their food, service and customers.

Great atmosphere, amazing service, and delicious food. Chandler has needed a good fondue spot and this is definitely the place! Beyond their fondue, the homemade chips, fries, and sandwiches are delicious, elevated and in HUGE portions. I had the Italian and was obsessed with the fluffy focaccia bread. My boyfriend had the Phoenix and said that it was like a Philly, but 10x better! I’ll be back again soon 🙂

It was the butter candle that first caught my attention and then I got swept away in an affordable fondue that easily could have fed 4 and the smoothest espresso martini I’ve ever had.
The kindness of the staff and the atmosphere of the store make it a delightful place to linger and be present.

We had cheese fondu and it was great. Just the perfect amount of cheese which does not overfill you. So many veggies, we asked for no meat and they made us happy with veggies. some days they have live Jazz, check out before you go. Vibe is chill and relaxed. They have happy hours, every soup and sandwiches for lunch combo.
Staff is amazing. We have been here twice- loved cheese fondue and potato chips were the best chips I ever had. Must try. We try cauliflower with aoili sauce, not that great.

Oh…my…GOODNESS was the food amazing! I had went on a friend date yesterday for the very first time that either of us tried this place and we were in awe of everything.
The decor, the vibes, the table setting, the workers and, even Bonnie herself, were just amazing! Everyone was super chill and friendly, really made you feel like you were at a family gathering rather than being out at a restaurant.
I tried both the classic fondue and chocolate fondue, and the presentation brought to the table was absolutely beautiful! The variety, the amount, the thickness of the fondue (cheese and chocolate alike), the cute fondue dish…all of it was pleasing to the eyes.
This is a great place to have a girl’s time out, any type of date, really! Would highly recommend going.
