One of the best “clean food” spots in Fort Lee. Prices are among the lowest around, and the food is consistently good. The menu isn’t very complex, but they really nail what they do offer. There’s enough variety to find something you like, plus fresh juices to go with it. It seems like a family-owned spot — I’ve been seeing the same lady here for about 16 years now. The location is super convenient, too. The food won’t blow your mind, but it’s solid and dependable.

I’ve been ordering from Food for Life in Fort Lee (Lemoine Ave ) for over 10 years, always the same order. Today I ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich with cheese, lettuce, ketchup, and mayonnaise on a roll for delivery.
First issue: the delivery driver could not find my address, and I had to go outside to help him get to the door.
Second—and more serious—issue: when I opened the sandwich, it was chicken salad, not a chicken cutlet. I immediately called the restaurant to let them know the order was made incorrectly and to see how it could be fixed.
Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, the woman who answered the phone called me a liar, insisted I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, and refused to remake the order. She identified herself as JING and said she was the owner. The way she spoke to me was extremely rude and disrespectful.
Mistakes happen, but calling a long-time customer a liar and refusing to fix an obvious error is unacceptable. If this is how customers from Fort Lee are treated, I will not be ordering from here again.

I got the sunrise sandwich. Everything worked really well together. The chicken breast wasnt dry the flatbread was still crispy. I got this to go and the packaging made it warm and not soggy. One knit-pick tho… i wish they had calorie count displayed on their menu because they do advertise their food as healthy.
