This was our first time at Zarate’s, and we chose it for Thanksgiving dinner. The atmosphere was immediately welcoming—peaceful, calming, and truly a family restaurant feel. The staff were the friendliest we have ever encountered.
The food was incredible, especially for a holiday! We got a full turkey dinner for just $17, which included the best fresh-cut turkey I’ve had, homemade mashed potatoes, and a perfect green bean casserole (crunchy top included!). It also came with fresh bread and a dinner salad (free croutons/cheese option!).
We can’t believe we hadn’t stopped here before. You simply cannot get better home-cooked food and service anywhere else. Highly recommended!

This was our first time here and let me tell you, it was outstanding. My wife had the pineapple coconut french toast and I had the Zarate’s breakfast. As a chef of 25+ years, I really appreciate food that is prepared well and tastes great. Both of our meals were sooo good! We will definitely be back and support this local favorite. I truly love the food service industry and this place shines above the rest. Well done Zarate’s team!

There is a Cafe about a ¼mile east that is better. But it was still really good. I ordered water with lots of lemon and this is what I got. I had the pork chops and my friend got the chop steak. They were good. The Cafe down the street has a much bigger and better dinner salad.

This is one of the best diners in town – and we tried almost all of them. They stand out with a good price-performance ratio, an outstandingly friendly service and really good food. It’s not as greasy as in other places. The atmosphere adds to the great experience. We really felt like belonging to the community.

A great “mom and pops” spot to eat! Very homey feel! We went this morning for breakfast and sat right down, even though, the place was pretty busy. The hostess got our drinks and then a server came to greet us and take our order, right after the hostess was already getting our drinks. The service is on it! Then we ordered biscuits and gravy to start (my husband’s idea) I usually dont get an appetizer of an entire meal before my breakfast but, Hey why not its Friyay! . Our server Jamie was fantastic and recommended the eggs Benedict flourentine. My husband ordered it and he wants to come here for breakfast every day-date now! It was incredible! I got the veggie omelet with feta cheese and it was primo!!! Very good food! Great prices great service!! Highly recommend!

Stop by here with my two younger grandsons for breakfast. We were seated quickly in this very cute family owned restaurant. We were hungry we had the chocolate pancakes, three waffles, scrambled eggs, toast, ham and cheese omelette, Home fries, biscuits and gravy. I think that’s it. We all enjoyed it so much all the plates were practically cleaned. Service is great food is very reasonably priced. If you’re in the area I would stop here

Fried chicken, pieces were very small (two thighs and leg) cooked too long the leg was broke jn half , bone marrow yuk!! The chicken looked and taste old or rewarmed. The corn bread was not fresh it was microwaved and tasted old and hard ! Now I’m a snow bird regular since 2017 their fried chicken is always the best so guess it’s best not to order outside of Tuesday dinner time when it’s on special . Their cornbread was small and so hard!

This place is so homy, the food is abundant and the staff is super friendly. This place is a reminder for travelers to stop in and get a healthy breakfast or lunch and get to know the friendly people who’s service is fantastic! Ten stars!! Love this place!! Oh and coffe smells really good!

Local mom and pop style diner. Unfortunately, a party of three, we were all a little disappointed. It’s very much a “greasy spoon.” Everything was very greasy and heavy, I left with a film on the roof of my mouth. My omelet was overcooked but raw in the middle (they did correct it, but the second one was still well-done, not fluffy). They have the basics, American “cheese,” and no real maple syrup options. These aren’t really my jam, but the restaurant was fairly busy, so others may fancy the food options. There was no online menu, so that was frustrating. However, the staff was friendly, and it’s always good to support small businesses. One small suggestion, please stop one-time use items that pollute our environment, Styrofoam, plastic straws, and bags. Let’s help keep Florida and America green.

I love the food and most of the employees at this restaurant. I did try to bring this up to another employee but they just seemed to agree, so maybe a review will catch someone’s attention. We had sandy as our server for the first time the other morning. Sandy was rude, inattentive, and more focused on socializing than doing her job. Orders were wrong, refills never came, and basic requests felt like a burden. She spent more time flirting and chatting than paying attention to her tables, which made the whole experience uncomfortable and frustrating. Completely unprofessional and not someone who should be working the floor.
