One and done stop here. Ordered the wings and pizza. Wings were crispy on the outside but mushy on the inside. Nothing to the flavor of them. Tried the combination pizza with everything on it. Floppy bottom crust and nothing that stood out for the sauce for flavor. For the price of the food I definitely expected more for sure.
The service.. wow.. owner was the one working out front and never once came to the table. Had to go order at the bar and even go up for your own refills on drinks.. Definitely could understand being busy or something but only 1 other table had people in the place.. The cook from the back brought the food out to the table though.
IF you decide to come to this place and try it.. I would only recommend sitting at the bar so maybe the person working will at least offer a refill and ask how things are going..

They have a nice selection of craft brews on tap, flights are available, and some really good, and interesting, pizza selections. The atmosphere is that of any basic pub. I could see this being VERY noisy when crowded.
For the first timers… we had to order at the bar as there was no wait staff (could have been a time of day issue) . Just a reminder for the bar staff… smiles are free.

Pizza was good but no real forks. It was definitely hand pizza.
The atmosphere was good. We were there on a Tuesday and they had trivia night. It was a good turn out. They had real prizes (gift cards).
There were also pool tables and dart boards.
There was a good selection of beers. The bartender Mike, was very knowledgeable and helpful. He asked questions and then had suggestions and samples to try.
Overall, a nice bar for a few beers

We shared the hot honey garlic bread with arugula and had a couple beers during happy hour. Great selection of local brews and more. Good service. Odd location but worth the stop.

I can’t recommend Murph and Mary’s enough!!! We held our baby shower today and when our original venue plans fell through, M&M’s stepped up for us more than we could’ve hoped. M&M’s opened their doors to us last minute, provided friendly smiles, fast service, delicious drinks, and made us feel so welcome. We will be back to support M&M’s in the future and can’t wait until then! Thank you all again, we appreciate you.

Awesome place ! The pizza is extremely delicious. They have the crust dialed in. Very friendly staff . I live in the Des Moines area and it is well worth the drive. I will be back very soon!

Awesome location on the bottom floor of the historic Maytag Headquarters building in downtown Newton, IA. Parking was very adundant early evening as well. I was intown to visit my remote coworkers that work upstairs unknowly realizing there was an Irish pub downstairs we met up after work for food and drinks. As the luck of the Irish would tell ya theres pretty of drinks to satisfy anyone.

A very nice pub located in the old Maytag factory complex being renovated into what looks to become a nice hotel. The pizza was delicious and the wings were large, juicy, and perfectly sauced

A treasure tucked away in downtown Newton. The pizza had all fresh ingredients on a homemade crust that was somewhere between hand tossed and thin. We sat outside in the shade but the inside was a great atmosphere. I am from DesMoines area and definitely worth the trip. Friendly, professional service. Looking forward to my next trip there!!
