We came to eat here in our way back from Boston. I did not want to go to a typical fast food joint so picked this place. The restaurant looked very clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The menu items had a good mix of everything with reasonable pricing. We got the chicken and traditional gyro dishes and tried the desserts. I m not a falafel fan but I loved how fresh it was here! The hummus and the and the fries were so good. Food was very tasty and the desserts were also very nice. Overall we had great experience.

Authentic Greek street food done right: perfect tzatziki, fresh toppings, and that fluffy charred pita. The chicken gyro platter is generous and perfectly seasoned, and the Greek fries with feta are addictive.
Huge portions, fair prices, super friendly staff, and consistently delicious. Easily one of the best Greek spots in the NY/NJ area.

Worst food experience ever! Got massive stomach pain afterwards. Falafel is one of my favorite food, and I’ve had falafels made by people from just about every corner in the middle east, including by middle eastern friends and colleagues. I am a lactose-intolerant vegetarian, and usually falafel is vegan, with the exception of liquidy tzatziki (if one asks for it). At this place, there is no other choice of saucing – not even the de rigueur tahini sauce – but a thick, gooey “tzatziki” that smells weird (like goat cheese, which makes me sick). I scraped most of that thick goo off my pita bread, and even hogged some of my husband’s clean pita bread. But the falafels, made with chickpeas and zucchini (!), tasted awful too. We barely finished our plates before running away. I asked for a glass of water for my lactose pill, but it never came.

Had an amazing lunch with the family. My kids ordered the gyro with French fries / chicken with French fries and we ordered the chicken gyro pita . The service was outstanding. The atmosphere was beautiful and with a great outside patio. Bravo Niko and crew.

I had an amazing experience at Pita Greek in Nanuet! I went with a Greek friend who was curious to see how authentic the food would be—and we were both really impressed. The gyro was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned meat, fresh toppings, and soft, warm pita. It tasted just like the ones I had in Athens.

What really made the visit special was the orange cake (portokalopita) we had for dessert. It was moist, citrusy, and not overly sweet—just the way it’s meant to be. My Greek friend even said it reminded him of home, which says a lot!

The atmosphere is casual but inviting, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Whether you’re Greek or just love Greek food, Pita Greek is definitely worth a try.

We had chicken gyros. They were great! The baklava was very fresh and delicious. We shared the very large piece priced at $7. The eating area was very clean. The staff were courteous and friendly. We will return for sure.

This was our first time here so we were a little surprised that we had to order up at the counter. We didn’t love this as we would rather of had a waitress but they brought water over right away and the food was absolutely delicious. We each had a Gyro platter. I had the oregano french fries and sautéed broccoli for my sides and they were very good, my husband had the orzo soup and french fries and the soup was delicious. Everything was delicious ! The place is very clean and everyone is very nice.. We will definitely come back. So glad Nanuet has a delicious Greek restaurant in it.

As a family of Greek food lovers, we came in with high hopes. While the flavors were decent, we found it a bit overpriced for what you get, especially considering there are other spots in the area that offer similar dishes at a better value.
