The FOOD is AMAZING! What an unexpected surprise and totally worth it. I wish we had photographed the dessert which was the rice crispy treat but nothing like your grandma used to make….it was exquisite!

You definitely get your moneys worth here. You will leave with a full belly. The food is absolutely delicious! The worker today was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is small and cozy. We had the mushroom burger and the beef sandwich.

My wife and I had lunch here the other day, and after 44 years in the restaurant business, we don’t say this lightly—this place is a must-try. We both ordered sandwiches and they were excellent. Quality ingredients, great execution, and clearly run by people who know what they’re doing. Highly recommended.

Hoof & Horn far exceeded my expectations. I came here somewhat randomly directly after work, expecting a nice sandwich after a quick skim of Google Maps photos. I was not prepared for the experience to follow!
While waiting shortly for a table, I noticed the presented dinner menu being served this evening on the counter and one elderly couple ordering from their table. The interior is a modern black-and-white and wooden themed, very neat and cleanly. I was seated and presented menus and water. After pondering the several choices, I settled on the Beefy Torta from the ‘Lite Fare’ section. I was served a hearty meal. The sandwich consisted of thinly sliced NY strip , well seasoned, on toasted provolone brioche. This was the first brioche bun I’ve had that was fit to handle meat, without dissolving – it was denser and covered in sesame seeds, with provolone cheese browned on the inside. The pickled onion, pickled jalapeno, and avocado crema all matched perfectly and I savored every bite. I also greatly enjoyed the roasted fingerling potatoes on the side with garlic aioli.
With such a delightful dish, I was inspired to try the desert. I settled on a slice of the seasonal slab pie – Pear-Cranberry. It was large enough that I had to take half home, and the flavor was wonderful. The pears still had a crisp to them and were not cooked until mush. It was not insanely sweet, with a pastry crust that reminded me of a dense biscuit in flavor and consistency. All topped with a dollop of chantilly cream that reminded me of my father’s! I had intended to take something home from the deli counter, but that was shut down before I finished my meal.
The service was attentive and careful. I intend to return and suggest you stop in!

As a vegetarian for over 25 years, I was hesitant to try H&H—it’s called a “butcher,” after all—but I’m so glad I did! The menu includes a bunch of different meat-free dishes, with labels for vegetarian, gluten-free, etc. (which I really appreciate). The food is absolutely amazing…every dish is has incredible flavor and different combinations that work perfectly together.
This is now our go-to spot to impress out-of-town friends, and our favorite date night restaurant. The tapas menu always has lots of vegetarian choices, and I love to go with my meat-eating partner and friends, since we all get to try a bunch of different dishes. The risotto is always my favorite—the chef changes it up throughout the year, and every version I’ve tried has been incredible.
This is easily the best dining experience in the North Country, and the staff are super friendly and attentive. So happy to have this business in our community for both the meat-lovers and us vegetarians! Oh also – great cocktails!! 🙂

Cute little place, the food is good! Different but good! Fresh and local, even the drinks are home grown. Glad we found this place and we will return.

We were in town on errands and needed some lunch. The Hoof & Horn was nearby, so we went in. We were immediately greeted by a warm and welcoming staff member. Another couple were just finishing their meal and were telling the staff member how much they enjoyed the food. We sat down and ordered our meal, and everything was delicious. The staff continued to make sure we were well taken care of. Bottom line, we will be going back soon

Fantastic small eatery that I will boast as having the best quality ingredients and a menu that challenges an Irish-American pallet, and hasn’t disappointed. Rather helped expound on my flavor pallet.

I have been wanting to come here for quite some time. My girlfriend and I live an hour away and finally had a day to take a trip out just for lunch. They did not disappoint. I had the bulgogi beefer sandwich and hands down, it was the best sandwich I’ve had in my entire life. The care that was taken in making an amazing sandwich was even reflected in the pickles served with it on the side. My better half ordered the dipper. At most restaurants she needs a to-go box, not today. She ate it all. 1000/10 I recommend!

This little restaurant is a hidden gem that needs to be exposed. Everything we had was cooked to perfection. Amazing taste and presentation. If you haven’t tried their tapas menu, you should. You won’t be disappointed. Thus-Sat 4-8. Tapas is where it’s at. But the lunch menu never disappoints either.
