Country Cabin Restaurant is a family-owned Southern restaurant serving scratch-made breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Jacksonville and Orange Park. Eggs are cracked by hand starting at 6 AM. Gravies begin in the pan, not a packet. Breakfast is available all day, just the way locals remember it. Guests come for chicken fried chicken with white pepper gravy, French toast that tastes like home, pecan waffles, biscuits and sausage gravy, and steady country plates served without shortcuts. The room feels familiar. The service is warm and unhurried. Families, Sunday regulars, retirees, and early-shift workers rely on Country Cabin for food that stays consistent and honest, visit after visit. Open daily from morning through early dinner.

Food is basic and bland.. The omelette’s aren’t as big as IHOP’s or Denny’s. We waited about 30 minutes for breakfast guess they were backed up or short staffed.. However the servers and cashiers were very courteous and provided a pleasant experience. I probably wouldn’t go again since I like my food bursting with flavors.. The food wasn’t worth the price…I hate given bad reviews but I have to honest

Went in with a party of 13 – It was no problem. The pork chops were fried to perfection as was the chicken fried chicken. The breakfast staples were well prepared as well. Service was 100%.

Sometimes you need a good old fashioned meal in a friendly atmosphere.

My corned beef hash with eggs was served hot and tasty.

The waitress was friendly and amusing. It was clear many regulars come here.

I have eaten here before the staff is always friendly the food always good. I frequently ask for special items that are not on the menu and the staff is happy to accommodate my random request. A visit is definitely in order if you haven’t already been, take some friends it’s an all around great place.

Love the food, the service, and the prices. Very affordable restaurant with some of the most delicious meals on the Northside. A crown jewel of home cooked meals.

Lots of good food for reasonable prices. These pictures are after I had already been eating awhile.

Very big portions. I wish it had been fried harder. The staff was caring and on point.

Consistently good country cooking with friendly waitresses. I have never had a bad meal here. Each time I visit the service is very good and they are prompt to bring you more drinks or anything else which you ask for. The food is just like your grandma made it from scratch. That is….if your grandma was a good cook.

This is truly some of the worst food i have ever had. Every time I’ve gone in (twice for a family get together. Most recently for breakfast.) I feel like I’m just waiting for Gordon Ramsey to come in and declare it a kitchen nightmare. Everything is sticky and dirty. (Get rid of those God awful table clothes-gross)The home fries I got for breakfast tasted like the potatoes from the previous nights roast (which I’ve also had….and left a lot to be desired). When I told them I would prefer my “home fries” fried, cause these didn’t taste right, I’m pretty sure they brought me back the same potatoes I had…they just threw them in the fryer. Beyond disappointed. Worse than hospital food. How can you mess up breakfast??? Under cooked eggs, bland grits, even the bacon tasted..odd. The one star is for the cashier & waitress who were understanding.
