I’m actually a regular customer and a big fan of the Pick Two, (missing the flatbread pizza)
Today, I had a hospital visit and ended up eating at the Panera inside because it was the only restaurant available. I ordered two Pick Two meals and one drink, and spent nearly $30. I expected a longer wait since this location is usually busy, not a bog deal! but what I didn’t expect was the shockingly small portion sizes.
The “half” sandwich I received looked more like a quarter. I was both surprised and frustrated. I brought it back and asked the staff why I was being served such a tiny sandwich. They told me corporate had instructed them to start making the sandwiches that small.
Honestly, that’s unacceptable. It feels like a ripoff. I’ve been loyal to Panera, but this experience was extremely disappointing. I won’t be eating at Panera again—and I’ll be letting my friends and family know about this, too.
I like the atmosphere it’s relaxing and nice setup and seating but they really need to do a better job of cleaning up the dining area , I come here several times a week and there is same old food on tables seats floor etc
There’s always several employees working and in the evening when it’s slow no one is cleaning
I came around 7 and saw a kid with a broom talking on his phone and swept under one table with the smallest effort then went back to the back never bothers to actually clean
Kids are lazy I get it but this place would be super nice if they kept up with cleanliness
I walked out and thankfully found the cafeteria where I was able to interact with friendly, helpful employees and custom order a cheeseburger from the grill. I found everything to include good coffee, choices of cups in various sizes, and pay on the way out. Even the cashier was cheerful.
In my opinion, Panera Bread needs to seriously work on service, quality, and value as convenience or location alone is not good enough. Does this franchise want to merely exist or thrive?
