I’m very glad to see a pizza place back in the old Paintsville Pizza Hut building–let alone a pizza buffet. My fifth star is missing because four of us were $65 last night, but everything was very good.
The salad was fresh and the pizzas were great–especially their generous amounts of high-quality mozzarella. The crust is on the thick side, but I enjoyed it.
Desserts are similar to Gatti’s or Giovanni’s that still have buffet. Drinks are included with the price, and Coke products are at a self-serve fountain by the register.
A couple of nitpicky details were that the plates on the buffet were stacked still very wet from the kitchen, but they were replenishing them so fast I can’t blame them. The meat sauce by the spaghetti had a lot of grease in it, but it might have been wonderful; I didn’t try the pasta.
Overall, they have a friendly, casual atmosphere with great pizza–especially that cheese. The price was a little rich, but this is the only pizza buffet in Paintsville, so we will be back.

We were very excited to try the Paintsville location as we tend to frequent the Betsy lane location, being paintsville is closer and new. Not Worth the $100+ we spent
Unfortunately had a bad experience this evening with our order. It was a decent size order so we called at 1:58 this afternoon for 5pm pickup.
We ordered 4 pizzas, all Large, 1 Chicken bacon ranch, 1 Pepperoni/ mushroom/ green olive, 1 Pepperoni/mushroom, 1- Eat Eaters no beef no bacon. 2 orders of fried mushrooms & a Stromboli option 1, no mayo.
We walked into the restaurant at 5pm, gave the First Lady who talked to us the name of the order. She comes out and gives us half the order, we explain that there is more. She’s then walks the half order back into the back area, and then we don’t see her for 15 minutes. We are standing at the front, at the cash register. The lady finally comes back out front from the back, but goes to clean up tables and our salad bar but doesn’t say one word to us. Finally another nice lady asked us what we were waiting on, we explain to her, she walks back and gets half our order, like the girl before. We explained, the original woman who waited on us, saw us talking to the 2nd lady, walked into the back, got the rest of our order and was very rude and snippy. We get the order and go home.
We drive home (20 minutes) and open the pizzas up, and unfortunately are very upset with the lack of cheese, and other toppings. As well as some of the items not being made correctly. The Stromboli was made incorrectly as well as 3 of the 4 pizzas. So we called, talked to a “manager” explained our issues, and they offered us 50% off our next order. We declined as we will not be returning to the Paintsville location, which we did say. They then asked if we would like our food remade. We did decline because it’s a 20 minute drive back to Paintsville. We will continue to go to the Betsy lane location.
