JJ bakery’s cake is very delicious! I remember taking my little one to this location years ago to get a birthday cake. From then on I’ve been purchasing birthday cakes from JJ bakery from different locations. I absolutely recommend this store to everyone who is celebrating the birthday for himself or the family.

Taiwanese bakery that specializes in all kinds of Asian bake goods. They got cookies, bread, pastries, danishes, sandwiches, cooked food, cakes, drinks, everything!
It’s like Sunmery and 85 degrees bakery in one but with way more options.
We got a few of the sponge cake flavors, curry empanadas, Portuguese egg tarts. The bread seems to be the most popular.

This is a good quality bakery. A very small location for JJ Bakery. I was told that this location is the first store this great bakery. I enjoy their bake goods because of the quantity ingredients that are used. Many items are not very sweet. I highly recommend that you try this epic bakery.

Do not buy any celebration kind of cake with strawberries INSIDE the cake, not the decoration type of strawberries placed ON TOP of a cake.
They do not remove those tiny leaves on top of each strawberry and just cut the berries vertically halves and sandwiched them between two layers of cake with cream.
Who knows if dirt and pesticides lurk under those leaves, I think no one would clean them thoroughly underneath.
Why don’t they just cut the leaves off? Laziness? Hey, that’s one more cut per strawberry, why bother? Right? Don’t complain, you were given more than your money’s worth.
We have removed ALL strawberries buried in cream from the inside of our cake.

I’m a big fan of JJ Bakery. They have lots of locations, but you know you’ll find lots of choices of nice airy flaky barely-sweet breads along with a few sweeter denser options as well. The fruit-covered cakes look amazing, but we’ve never tried those out. This Hacienda Heights location is relatively small compared to their others, but they manage to pack a lot of tasty choices in, no problem. The staff was constantly bringing fresh pastries out and were friendly and got me checked out and out the door as soon as I was able to make up my mind on just how many delicious treats I was going to be taking with me.

The bread was delicious and left me wanting more. The lady at the counter was unfriendly,I was trying to get a bread inside the warming oven,there were tongs and small paper bags ( accessible to the public) she came over and said she would get it,what do I want and how many? No Hi, no bye and no thank you. There was another customer there,she seemed to have no problem being cordial with him. This is the second time that we are treated in this manner. We will not be going back.

Almond croissants are also delicious. And pudding. And egg custard tarts. Ok ok.. everything is delicious.
This is a small shop and often very busy, so I get that Deli feeling that you need to know exactly what you want and be quick about it when your turn comes, but it doesn’t make me think any less about all the delicious things they offer.
Other locations are a bit more relaxed.

Small but wonderful Bakery. Cakes are the best here. Beautifully decorated and so yummy. Lots of other Asian style bread and pastries. This is the original JJ Bakery location that opened in 1996. Highly recommended over 85 degrees.
