The food was good. My daughter was not able to get Sushi because it was all gone every time they brought it out. It went fast. The service was awesome, they were attentive and friendly and the fish swimming in the pond were gorgeous.

Sadly Google doesn’t separate the hibachi which is great from the Mongolian grill side which is the buffet. They are run together tho so I dunno. Regardless this review is for the Mongolian grill buffet side and it is awful. There is plenty of variety and it looks nice enough but the food tastes just terrible. Wait staff is hit or miss, sometimes varying between friendly and rude in the same visit and even in the same waiter. Just weird to be given cold glares one second then friendly smiles the next and back to cold for no discernable reason. Maybe it’s cultural differences but I feel so uncomfortable here.
Back to the food. It just plain doesn’t taste good and it certainly doesn’t taste fresh. If it’s meat, it’s tough and dry, if it’s veg it’s under cooked… Even the fried rice is as astonishingly mediocre as any I’ve had.
There only thing I could stomach more than two bites of was the butter potatoes and the dinner rolls. So bad. There’s a sushi selection but unless you like the local popular tradition of creamed cheese in your sushi or covered in sauces… No go. Nothing for lovers of more standard makizushi or more Japanese style flavors.
There is a substandard dessert bar with a few horrifically processed desserts and nothing fresh made or evenly slightly appealing to anyone who isn’t simply sugar addicted enough to eat whatever sweet they can get. There is also an ice cream bar but it’s the most generic ice cream and the flavors are unimpressive.
Overall, this remains just as bad as I remember from the only other time I tried it. I only came again on the recommendation of a friend with notes that it has improved. I have to disagree.
Florence remains a city with narrow options for lovers of the classic American Chinese buffet.
My recommendation is Mr. Hui’s which used to be Peacock Express as the tastiest in town, if the selection is quite smaller. Better a few delicious foods than a truckload of nasty dishes.

The food was good. It was hot and fresh.

Now, as The Shoals premier Chocolate Pudding expert it’s time to get down to business.

The chocolate pudding is ok. The best so far of any in The Shoals. It has a very similar taste and texture to Snack Pack. I would like to see one buffet take the time to make a homemade pudding to serve their guests. There is always room for improvement.

I would have given 5 stars had the chocolate pudding been better.

The waitress was RUDE the entire time, my husband ran out of tea 2or3 times and it was NOT BUSY! Not even to mention the food was not worth what the money! NOW here’s the real kicker… When my husband went to pay, he asked for a water to go. The waitress spazed and told him he couldn’t have a water to go because he didn’t leave her a tip!!!

This place is the best! Formally know as Osaka, I’ve been going here for 15 plus years. You will find no better fried rice anywhere. The hibachi is the best. Check it out!

Yes 1 star. I will NEVER I mean NEVER eat here again. Everything was dry and hard. There was no one at the hibachi side so thats out. $55 for four of us. The fried shrimp was so hard it could’ve been threw through a glass window, the fried rice, was over cooked and dry, and nothing was good. I askes them to bring out some fresh stuff, and she said it would be 30-45 minutes because they was cleaning in the back. I could go on and on about how bad it all was. BUT, on the positive side, I never run out of drink.

This Buffett is very over priced. Had to ask them to refill items multiple times. Ticket was incorrect. Wait staff barely spoke English and while they were not rude their lack of common communication left you with an empty non welcoming feeling. Food was mediocre.

Nice little place. Good service, they do sometime get your drink orders wrong. However, over all I have had a pleasant experience everytime I have went over the last 3 years.

Not bad. There’s a big variety of food, but a lot items tasted bland. Some of the items I just couldn’t eat because the food was dried out. Poor service.
