We had my sons birthday dinner here because he has been interested in making his own Japanese cuisine! All of the food was delicious and cooked/made well. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was upscale but I did want it to be a nice dinner and it was. Everyone is so nice every time I come in, I love this spot but it was just a great evening for this special occasion. We even got a little 101 on how to use chopsticks for my son. He ordered the dumplings and green dragon sushi – immediately after we left he said he was going on a “shopping spree” to get him a steam basket and chopsticks so he can practice at home thanks for a wonderful evening

First time we have been in that restaurant since kimono closed && I will say although they don’t cook infront of you the food was very good, the soup very flavorful the yum yum is delicious, I got steak fried rice and noodles, it was all so good, cooked perfectly! I was very satisfied with my lunch yesterday, also my bf got a yum yum roll && it was great he said absolutely no complications the price was very manageable $40 for 2 people I’ll take it! we was very satisfied and we WILL be back. Thank youu to the staff the cooks it was a much needed lunch date with my man, and the food was exceptional!

Great food, sushi was great! I got spicy California rolls, tempura rolls and gyoza. All very good but I do feel like for the price of the gyoza they could have put another one in there or maybe lower the price a tad. But again the food was very tasty! I’m not from the area but am a truck driver that was at a tow shop down the road and ordered and was not disappointed!

Our server last night was AWESOME (unfortunately didn’t get his name)…. Service was fast, food was hot (and cold where needed), portions were HUGE (no seriously my crazy tuna roll was the size of my forearm), and prices were good! Definitely coming back to try more!

Updated: This place did have a 5 star review from me, but it has changed. We started eating Pho a lot and the last two times we have ordered it they have given us actually rotten bean sprouts. You would think if you are handling food and it was rotten you would notify the customer you were out of sprouts and not serve rotten food. No they serve rotten food. Happened more than once. Also the service isn’t as good anymore.

This place is absolutely fantastic. It was a bit pricey, but they feed the heck out of you, so it totally makes up for it. The service was fast and friendly, and our server even helped us order something because we’ve never been there before. Everything tasted great and had a lot of flavor. Every single bit of it came out fast and we ordered quite a bit of food. So far I would say it’s the Best in Beckley! My daughter and I ordered Bento Boxes .. you won’t need any extras and they are way too good!! I recommend those if you want to leave fat and happy!!

I miss the more private dining spaces of Kimono as the tables here feel way too close together. Our server did forget about us quite a few times my first time here, but it didn’t ruin the experience. The food is absolutely amazing, and they have a large sushi menu with something for everyone. My favorite is the Rhododendron Roll! I have already eaten inside twice and ordered takeout a few times. Good food is hard to find, and this is my favorite restaurant in Beckley!

We eat here quite often and we love it! The hubs always gets the hibachi steak but I’m more adventurous. I like the Pho and I think I’ve tried every sushi roll on the menu. This time I decided on the Poke bowl. Shew! It was delicious but extremely spicy. I know it’s supposed to be spicy and I was prepared. We will be back!

Food was delicious but somebody didn’t prepare my sushi correctly. Within several hours I became very very sick off of eating here. The sushi was delicious but had no idea it would make me as sick as I got. No hate against the restaurant but they need to train their staff better on prepping meat. Either that or not serve food even a day past its use date or of looking bad quality. It’s a health and safety problem that should be fixed ASAP to keep others safe. Their miso soup was 10/10 though…. nice staff. Just wish I didn’t get so sick. My rhododendron roll was really good until it made me sick.
