I had a coworker come in from St Louis this week. He said he wanted to try some true Texas BBQ so of course we came here! We had the Brisket Burger and it was amazing! Perfectly cooked 1/2 lb burger topped with slow smoked award winning brisket add cheese, jalapeños and pickles and throw in a side of golden fries and we had ourselves the best Texas BBQ Burger in town!
My work buddy could not stop talking about how great that burger was! We sat in the patio so we left smelling like smoke and that was the perfect cologne to go back to work with to make the rest of the poor coworkers jealous!
Thank you guys for always throwing it down like you’re in competition! The love of cooking and expertise shows in every bite!

If you want fast food, this isn’t it; but it’s worth the small wait. I decided on a simple cheeseburger with fries. I was informed by the owner that it would be about 10 minutes. I said “no problem”…cook away. He offered me a place under the patio, but I wanted to enjoy the nice sunshine, so I waited out by my truck. It was worth the wait. That was the biggest and best tasting 1/2 pound homemade cheeseburger I’ve eaten in awhile. Give them a try. You will not regret it. Next up…I’m going to try their brisket burger!

Almost left Houston without having BBQ, glad we didn’t! Right off the main road, no signage so keep your eyes peeled.
Had the two of the 3 meat plate and Texas Twinkies ($2 a pop, MUST TRY). 3 of us and we were satisfied with the portions. Tender brisket, sausage was solid, even the damn beans were delicious, and the potato salad fresh.
Anthony was hospitable, great guy who competes in BBQ and took care of my family and I. See you in Vegas bro

Nice little place off hwy 3 and 610 right across from Chavez High School…I ordered the brisket nachos and a brisket sandwich. Pretty tasty, I will be going back. You may want call just to make sure they are open though.

Update 8-20-2025. Went there today to order since they didn’t answer the phone when I called. The exterior window to the building was closed and locked. Sign said, “For Sale”. I guess that’s the end of the Perfect Choice. You will be missed.

I googled BarBQ places near me and Perfect Choice BarBQ came up with the highest review. I usually don’t eat the bread but even that was delicious, and I prefer red onions, and they were in the container for the BarBQ sandwich. There were lots of crispy pickles as well as jalapenos and the brisket was flavorful, moist, tender and melted in your mouth. It was delicious, not salty and spiced just right. Thank you for perfecting BarBQ brisket. I also bought a BarBQ plate, and the chicken, beans and potato salad were delicious. I will be back for more BarBQ.

It’s a 4-man operation at “Perfect Choice”. The fellas know how to bbq. Authentic hole in the wall bbq joint to satisfy anyone’s hunger. Good prices and better food! I forgot to get photos of our food but what’s already posted hasn’t changed.
