I gave them two stars for the sweet waitress we had. She was new, but very good and very nice.
I ordered chicken fried steak and it looked like a fried piece of roof shingle. They also gave me brown gravy with it. They said they had it on the menu tonight, but not that they didn’t have the white gravy. That IS chicken fried steak! It’s all about the pepper gravy. I sent it back and asked if they were going to throw the beans away, that I would eat them. The waitress said I could, but the woman they had in the kitchen asked the waitress if I ate it because they wanted to add it onto my replacement order! It was obvious the people in the kitchen were not properly trained, nor were they cooking the food to order. They made fries, but the wings we had were obviously cooked ahead of time. The chicken fried steak and everyone else’s food all came out too soon to be cooked fresh. If I’m dishing out $35 for some local BBQ, I want the food cooked fresh, and hot when I get it. The wings were lukewarm, and so were the green beans.
I noticed a sign on the door as we went in. It said “Now Hiring. All positions.” That may explain things. One thing’s for certain though, I have never seen a manager there any time I have eaten there. Maybe they should hire one.

Not bad at all! There were 8 of us dining in and we all had something different. The sweet tea was great and we all enjoyed everything we ate! Unlike the other reviews our waitress was sweet and did her job just right. Will eat here again.

The food was sub par to say the least. The smoked turkey we ordered tasted a lot like Winn Dixie turkey meat. We also ordered the salad bar and was told by our server it would be a $3.99 add on. When we got the bill it was $4.99. When I asked the server about it she said let her check and she’d be right back. She said it was an error on her part and that it was actually $4.99. As I was paying I brought my experience up to the manager who apologized and said she’s sorry but the salad bar price is on the menu and wasn’t willing to do anything!! I will make sure me or my company NEVER EVER order from Larrys again.

Absolutely terrible, the customer service is horrendous, the food is usually 99.9% cold, the waitress can be rude at times; it’s only a job for them anyways right? So who cares, if they don’t have time to answer questions about the menu. I mean it’s not like they have anything else better things to do, but stand around and wait for their next table. If I must mention Is highly unprofessional. I guess we aren’t a “Guest” but more like walking money. There is a high possibly you will walk in to a few dirty tables. Or even better if you are lucky enough the Cooks and Waitress will find time (as if they don’t have enough already) to talk negatively about you and your family. Overall, I give it .5 out of 10 stars!

The barbecue sauce was not marked when I received my drive-thru order so I stuck my finger to taste it. It was not what I ordered so I gave it back to the girl at the window. This happens a lot so I never drive away without checking my order. She apologized and put the sauce I gave her, the one I stuck my finger in, back into the basket. I told her I had stuck my finger in it to taste it and she laughed and said have a great night and went filling the next order.

I went here the 1st time the other day. The food was good, but the staff was awesome, which is why I am rating 5 stars. The waitresses, the cook, the cashier-some of the nicest people I have ever met.

Yes yes. It took awhile for us to go back after someone posted something gross about this place. But honestly it’s really good food and nice friendly servers. You really can’t go wrong with the Larry’s Special salad…..but the price has gone up…..that’s the only part I don’t like. Prices seem to be going up everywhere tho.

Jumbo bbq sandwich not listed on menu.Sandwich bun soggy on bottom with pork burned on edges.Cole slaw and potato salad were both warm and tasted old.Waitress was nice. Will not go back to this Larry’s.The one in Andalusia,Al has been good every time.

Website says they close at 9 PM tonight. We arrived at 8:30 PM. Young man met us at the door stating they are closed. Many cars in the parking lot by the way. He said his boss man wanted to close at 8 due to lack of business. Well you sysu won’t have much business if you close at 8 PM on a satSatur night. Better BBQ elsewhere in town anyway. Good riddance Larry’s!

We ordered a Togo baked potatoe loaded and when we got home , they gave us hot bbq sauce instead of sweet , no sour cream , barley any cheese , and completely burnt toast ! But the tea was good !
