Best ramen in town. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, and I really love the mazemen (no broth) and the chicken paitan ramen. Chicken karaage and gyoza is a must.
Great service, just a bit pricey but worth every penny.

As one of the 1.5 billion people in the world who can’t eat pork, the world of real ramen has been closed to me. This paitan ramen had perfect noodles and a rich chicken broth. They have the choice between traditional pork slices or slices of the most tender chicken breast. You place orders on a ticket so each person orders exactly as they want. I recommend the spicy chicken paitan.

YUMMY. Kept us full all night which isn’t always common when I eat ramen. The service was quick and the staff were very kind. They seem to do a limited menu that’s different everyday which I like, the attention to the soup can be better with limited options! It tasted really quality and delicious. Would definitely come back.

This place is awesome!
Their pai tan ramen is deep, rich and full of flavor! Noodles are chewy and bouncy. Get the chicken instead of the chashu pork. It’s tender and moist!
The karaage was delicious! Fried crisp and tender and moist inside. Squeeze some lime and dip away into the kewpie.
The curry rice was comforting and filling. Throw the karaage into the curry!
Service is friendly and quick!

Ramen Akimoto is my go to spot for ramen. The black ramen with pork is incredible with a bold smoky broth, tender pork, and perfectly chewy noodles. The seasoned egg is always spot on and the karaage is the best I have had anywhere, crispy outside and juicy inside. Every detail shows the chef’s care and skill from the toppings to the broth. Cozy, authentic, and consistently amazing, this is the best ramen for me in Southern California.

I always enjoy their foods!! All the foods are tasty and I love it. Especially since his ramen is authentic Japanese ramen it has deep enjoyable flavor. The atmosphere is nice too they play Japanese Okinawa songs and it feels peaceful ✨

Apparently during mondays they have jiro ramen/miso ramen only, and during wed-sun they have chicken ramen and tsukemen only. I didn’t know of this until i asked the waiter for clarification. Nevertheless, the jiro ramen is genuinely authentic, and i loved how the vegetables complimented the fatty and rich broth with the thick noodles. I would definitely come here again if i can.

Can’t believe this spot is right around the block and I had never been there til the other night! The chef here studied under some amazing chefs in Tokyo and it shows. The chicken paitan ramen was super juicy and the broth was flavorful but not overpowering of the other ingredients. Gyoza was more potsticker style, which I definitely enjoy more than a steamed style. Noodles were perfect, not chewy but had some bite to them. Price for two with tip around $80 which is steep but for the quality, I’ll take the hit!

Cute little Ramen shop with polite staff. The Ramen was great! The seasoned egg was a masterpiece. Broth was so flavorful and the noodles were the perfect meaty texture. I went there on a date night with my wife and the experience was terrific. We will bring our whole family back soon!

If you order deluxe ramen, they add all the toppings. If you order chicken as a side dish, it’s so good. A ramen restaurant with a very delicious kitchen.
