LOVE that they now have grills at every table. My recent experience has turned this location into my favorite restaurant in Castle Rock. Great selection of meats, vegetables, and the kimchi is amazing! The staff and service were great. And the two draft beers for $10 is hard to beat. I’ll be going here weekly and I really hope they start offering the lettuce leafs at this location, which would be the cherry on top.

Edit. Second visit was not as good as the first one several months ago. Slower service on a not very busy weekend night. Food tasted different and lacked flavor. Precooked meats were tasteless, dry, and very fatty. Lots of flies inside. Was hoping they would have tables with the hot plate like other locations and we weee role would be coming “very soon” after our first visit about 4 months ago.

I will definitely NOT be returning here a third time.

Original 5 star review that the second visit didn’t meet the expectations of…:

I thoroughly enjoyed all of the meats and sides. Have a few favorites and didn’t need to use their hot sauces but they were all also very tasty. The food sizzling next to me was great and watching the brisket cook trying not to let it overcook was a little fun too. Will definitely get the spare ribs next time too.

The food, all of it was so well seasoned and flavorful with a good level of spicy (though I like it hotter, the sauce helped some there). All of which is typically hard to find in Castle Rock restaurants. Definitely returning to this location.

Came here for a birthday dinner and I was mildly satisfied. As with any all you can eat place, there are things that you really like and some things not so much. Majority of the food and sides were very good.

One of the things I really did not appreciate is the price paid for everything. For the amount of food and the meats served (mostly chicken), it really is not worth the price. Don’t get me wrong, there are other meats, one or which are short ribs, but they very thin and are limited to one per meal.

Overall, I would likely not willingly comeback but would if I am invited by someone if they were having a meal there.

Finally, a Korean restaurant south of Denver/Aurora! The restaurant has a relaxed, local vibe and offers a great selection of Korean drinks. The staff is wonderful and attentive, making the experience even better. While there are no grill tables, the K-BBQ is cooked in the open kitchen and served on a hot plate, ensuring it’s fresh and delicious. Plus, the side dishes are unlimited, which is a fantastic bonus! Overall, the service was excellent, and I highly recommend this spot!

We ordered the unlimited BBQ, but the experience fell short.

Service was very slow, and oddly enough, only the brisket was grilled at the table — all the other meats came pre-cooked. The food quality was just okay and lacked flavor. We had to make several requests just to get sesame oil, salt, and pepper dipping sauce.

The sides were below average, and the service didn’t improve over time. Overall, based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend this place for Korean BBQ.

It’s so great to have Korean food in Castle Rock! Ordered pork and kimchi tofu soup to go, and it tasted good, hit the spot. Was greeted by the owner upon arriving, who was so nice and welcoming! Looked clean inside and apparently they have all new grill tables installed. Will have to come back to try the bbq meats. Overall a great experience and so happy to add it to our list of local places.

Was really hoping that the Korean BBQ spot would be good in Castle Rock. I would say it was sub par. We had the unlimited bbq and the meat was pre cooked which was ok for the 1st round with the hot plate hot. However the second round they just brought out pre cooked meat in the silver bowls which was not great as the hot plate was not “re-heating” the meat. The Banchans were below average and you can only get one egg (extra $8) and one cheese corn which for $38 a person seems a bit odd. This was a really disappointing dining experience.

Took the family over the weekend. It wasn’t too busy. We had the unlimited option and my world-traveler 9 year old reported that “this is the best food I’ve ever had in my life.”

I don’t know if I share her sentiments completely, but it was pretty dang good. Service was great. We will be back.

New review (Sept 2025): (2 stars now)
Came for dinner this time, and with both my kids (teens). Was ok, I felt it has gone downhill even after just a few short months.
We entered and I got handed menus and a water carafe and was told to take the first open booth. We had to switch to the last booth due to the booth in front of the first open booth (second one in was the open one) had pushed the booth seat back to accommodate themselves and I couldn’t sit in the room left.
The food wasn’t as good as the first time, meat was fattier. The sides we got the same amount as when it was just 2 people whereas we had 4 people this time, exception was more dumplings. I also had to get up and ask for a refill of water for the carafe.

There were also an abundance of gnats and a few flies flying around us. I did see the back door was propped open so likely is why there were bugs about.

Our server also looked like he hadn’t showered or brushed his hair in weeks. I know the trend for young people can be an unkempt look but when in customer service, esp food service, it’s not a good look for the establishment. His attitude wasnt bad but wasn’t good either.

We aren’t likely to return.

Old review (around June 2025):(was 5 stars)
I thought the food was great. We got the unlimited lunch BBQ setup and enjoyed all the meats and sides. There are sauces at the table if needed (in mild, regular, and spicy). I enjoy having the food already cooked instead of having to do it myself.

The server was super sweet, friendly, with quick service.

Definitely a good place to have here in Castle Rock. It’s something different and it’s nice overall. The only thing I can dock a point for would be the music was a bit too loud for me.

Im changing my review shockingly. We love dae gee and its our favorite korean bbq spot. However this location needs serious oversight from management. We have been in several times to inconsistent service. Some times its great but others are less than impressive. We walked in on a Saturday to half full dining room with every table dirty and covered with unfinished food and dirty grills. Obviously hadn’t been bussed in hours. The server asked us to wait while he checked with the chef then informed us they were closing the kitchen an hour before close and could only do to go orders. Very disappointing. We will sadly be going elsewhere until they get it fixed.
