We got the Beef Noodle Soup (10.99) and the pork and chives dumpling 10 pieces (12.99). The noodles and dumplings were served pretty fast which was nice. You can get sauces for your noodle or dumpling at a separate counter by the door. I didn’t get any because I thought it was good enough without. The dumplings were pretty good and big and I liked the filling. As for the noodles, it was a bit spicy for me since I can’t eat any spice. The employee said it isn’t too spicy so I trusted them but it was still a bit spicy for me but I could still eat it. I didn’t drink much of the broth though. They gave plenty of beef with the noodles but the pieces were tough to chew and a bit dry, so I couldn’t finish all of it.
Overall, I think this place is pretty mid and is a hit or miss for some people. I thought the beef noodles I tried at another place were much better and not spicy. I wouldn’t come back here again.
The beef was cut too thick—not really sliced nor chunked properly. The beef tendon had inconsistent texture, some parts soft, some tough. The noodle portion was very small.
The platter had just a few pieces of tofu and some kelp. Nearly $20 for that? Way too expensive. I definitely won’t be coming back.
Took the Beef noodle soup, it was delicious, with big chunks of meat perfectly cooked, and a very savory soup.
Fast service, friendly staff, and good prices. Very easy to park right outside.
Will come again.
We ordered the braised seaweed, egg, bean curd and garlic cucumber as a starter.
We got the premium beef noodle and just a regular beef noodle. I would recommend the premium more just because it has some tendon on it so it makes it even chewier and for some reason the meat with tendon so much juicer and softer.
I thought the soup base was very well balanced. Often times you can taste either the grossed pack more or the soy sauce but this one was right in the middle and hit the sweet spot. They also have the clear broth beef noodle so I will def try to get that next time as that is a little more difficult to perfect in flavor.
We also go a side of stinky tofu which was also super good. For those risk takers out there this is Taiwans fermented tofu and it’s def acquired taste. But for those who like stink tofu I would highly recommend it!
The side dishes are decent and served warm, though I personally prefer serve cold.
We tried the stinky tofu which comes in its soup base. It is not deep fried which makes the fermentation flavor stronger and actually more effort to enjoy.
