Short version:
Total fail. Extreme waiting time (1:55h). Uncooked paddies. Cold burgers. Soggy buns.
Long version:
We ordered 4 burgers for a total of $81 at 7:50pm.
After 1:18h waiting time (at 9:08pm) I called Maria Food de Barrio. —> They did not call me, I had to call them.
Their explanation: the driver showed up late, so they could not deliver earlier.
Hmm, why not inform the customer pro-actively? And offer the option to cancel? (I had three hungry and tired kids after a long sight seeing trip with me)
On the phone I was offered $15 discount, and was promised „another compensation later“…
The $15 I received in cash from the driver. This would have been acceptable, if the burgers were good quality as shown by the pictures of their website.
We received cold burgers with uncooked paddies and soggy buns. That is totally unaccapteble, and no $15 discount is compensating that.
See the pictures. I made them immediately after delivery, and tried to include the packaging as a proof.
Hmm, why let the burgers lay around until they are cold and the buns are soaked with fat like sponges in the water? Why not delivering fresh and good quality burgers once you messed up everything else?
Yes, after the driver arrived late you should have made completely new, fresh, hot and good burgers, especially since you missed all other goals.
Needless to say that four weeks after the delivery there was no „another compensation later“ as promised by phone and confirmed by the driver.
Sorry, but you don’t deserve any single rating „star“.

I tried this place a few days ago and the food was amazing. Their house sauce was my favorite… it went perfectly with the fries and brought that extra kick to the burger. The menu has something for everyone because it has options for sweet, savory or even spice. the portions are generous and definitely satisfying. this is definitely not a five guys… theses are gourmet burgers at a reasonable price point so I think it’s the thing that will put this place on the map.. im excited to see this place start popping up all over the place…. let’s get back to good food at a great price point and teach these fast food places we want healthy options, at affordable prices and it needs to taste good too….
