Stopped by for a quick lunch while shopping around at the Farmers’ Market. Ordered the Goat Curry, Vegetable Rice, Lentils, and Vegetable Samosa. Service wasn’t too friendly, but was efficient. Since everything is already made, they packed it up in a Styrofoam container and I was on my way to find a table.
Food was decent and good for the Farmers’ Market, but I’ve had better options. It was a little lacking on the flavor and spice for me, but not necessarily bad. If you’re in the mood for Indian Food at the Farmers’ Market, then it’s a good option.

The food was great. The Mattar Paneer and the Garlic Chicken was better than I ever would have anticipated. The yellow rice and veggies went with it well. Everyone in my group tried and enjoyed it. I’ll want more of this.

Chicken tikka masala should not be the consistency of water. Super disappointing. The samosa was decent. Naan was doughy. They don’t have basmati rice as an option. Bummer all around.

Just moved to Nashville and really hoped Swagruha was going to be good. Actually … I’d have settled for ok. Located inside the Farmer’s Market, it was a preprepared hot counter with a dozen options. I had the Chicken Rice, Tikka Masala and Chicken 65. The portion was large …. But …. Far too much salt, the flavors were flat and the meat stewed. The only saving grace was the Samosa. At $2 it was reasonable.

Let me start by saying me and my wife love indian food. With that in mind, we wouldn’t consider this indian food. This taste like indian food in the same manor as you would consider taco bell Mexican food. Yeah the ingredients are similar, and it’s looks close, but when it comes to taste it leaves a lot to be desired. This is not to say the food tasted bad, just very little flavor and no where near authentic. My daughter cant handle any spice at all and had no problems with this food. If you cant handle spices or too much flavor, but still want to try some indian food, this will work. Want something more authentic, you will have to go somewhere else.

Their google page says they close at 4 and I have been there 3 times now and they’re always closed 45 minutes to a hour before they’re google page says they close and are very inconsistent when they’re actually open, and this is very disappointing because they have amazing food but I’m close to just never coming back because I drive a hour to get there and this is becoming very annoying.

The lady who worked there was rude. All I had were large bills that she wouldn’t accept, nor would she accept my credit card for food. The food looked old anyways. Luckily, there are many fresh alternatives in the surrounding food court. I would recommend looking around more.

This food makes me happy! It’s rich and flavorful, kinda like the Indian version of classic soul food. I had the goat curry and vegetable curry. The goat is *very* tasty (I love goat), but to my surprise it was the vegetable curry that made me say “Mmm.” It’s takeaway only but it’s in the Nashville Farmer’s Market so there are plenty of tables inside the shared space, and the woman who served me was very kind. I visited after lunch rush & they were sold out out of samosas, so I guess that’s an indication of how good they are. I will definitely be back when I can.
