They have the best sandwiches around with the best bread. They also make their own pasta that is delicious. I usually get take out. I tried once to dine-in but I must of hit a bad day.

This kid tried to take our order but immediately told us that the left side of the menu wasn’t available that night. No problem. We then proceeded to choose stuff from the other side, but apparently everything we tried to choose wasn’t available either. We finally asked him what was available and there were only like two or three dishes available. It was surreal. We paid our $6 for our two cans of soda that were delivered to our table (sans glasses and/or ice) and left. I won’t ever try to go back for dinner.

My advice if you are interested in going for a sit-down dinner or a sit-down meal at all is to call ahead and make sure they’ll have something to serve you. This wasn’t an odd day at an odd time that we went. We specifically went for dinner service. Early dinner service. Definitely call ahead for anything more than a sub sandwich.

We popped in a bit early on Saturday (4:00) and were the only people there. Got the fried shrimp as an appetizer (along with the complementary bread) and each got an entree — everything was excellent, hot, and fresh. Fast, friendly service. Will definitely come back!

“best spaghetti and meatballs i’ve had in my life” – my friend that was here with me

the sweetest people and food is yummm. Desserts are homemade (got bread pudding and cannoli), and both spaghetti and lasagna noodles are handmade. Really good texture on those and portions are really worth.

Despite the name Pizzo’s they don’t have pizza though so don’t expect that.

Oh my goodness! I happened into Pizzo’s by chance and had an unexpected soul nourishing experience! I started with a fantastic Chicken Picatta! Fresh pasta, I mean he cut the dough that he had made right in front of me! Tons of capers, delicious sauce, just great. The plate was completely clean after I finished! Sopped it all up with his garlic bread. So good, that I had to ask for a 1/2 plate of shrimp scampi. Fresh Fat shrimp! Succulent! Perfectly cooked! What a delicious indulgence! And if you think the food sounds good, you need to meet the people behind it. What a talented, kind, humble, gracious and lovable family. I cannot recommend more. I mean, this takes cooking from scratch and fresh ingredients to a whole new level! I am taking my wife here and then my parents and then I’ll drag whoever I can to eat there ! I need many, many excuses to return! Thank you for a memorable experience. Love this place.

The Godfather worth every penny of 20 dollars. Frozen ravioli and Canaloni were both great, eggplant parm was great, jar of the house sauce was less impressive. Would be there a couple times a week if I lived closer.

A Disappointing Experience at a Promising Venue

From the moment we entered the dining area, the experience was underwhelming. The atmosphere was devoid of any music or ambiance, and instead evoked the sterile feel of a hospital waiting room. Unfortunately, cleanliness was an immediate concern: trash was visible under the tables in the back corner, additional trash sat openly on the outdoor tables, and we were dismayed to find flies in both mine and my husband’s water glasses. Our salad plates arrived with visible crumbs and crust, raising further questions about basic hygiene standards.

The menus themselves contained noticeable typographical errors—small details, but ones that reflect the overall lack of attention to the dining experience and even would of resulted in an additional charge if my guest wasn’t a toddler who “gets free pasta always” he stated.

To be fair, the individual who appeared to be the owner or manager was welcoming upon entry. However, our server seemed unfamiliar with the menu and unable to provide meaningful recommendations or insight into the dishes.

Our meal, which totaled $106, included one small plate of shrimp, chicken parmesan, and chicken marsala. The portions were modest, and due to our initial experience with flies, I opted for a canned seltzer water as a precaution. While we attempted to enjoy the food, the discomfort of the environment eventually led us to cut the meal short and leave early.

As for the food itself: while most dishes were forgettable, the Alfredo sauce stood out as the one redeeming element—it tasted authentically prepared and offered a brief glimpse of what could have been a much better overall experience.

Given the high price point and the many issues we encountered, I unfortunately would not return. This establishment has potential, but it needs significant improvements in cleanliness, staff training, and ambiance to live up to its “gourmet Italian and seafood” branding.

Not sure why this place gets good reviews. I’ve only had their sandwiches so maybe their pastas and stuff like that is good? $20 chicken sandwich was bland, dry and SMALL—hell, there was only mozz on half of the tiny sandwich. Lived in NYC half my life so i know what a $20+ sandwich at an Italian shop is supposed to be like and this ain’t it—sorry folks, don’t trust the high reviews. They need to get their shit together to live up to the good reviews the keep, somehow, receiving.

SAVE YOUR MONEY. Wow definitely not worth the wait. The price is crazy for what you get and not in a good way either. 3 meals cost over $100 that’s insane. Fresh, definitely not, sad when you forget about the chicken for two meals and the shrimp scampi wow three shrimp don’t overdo it, oh and the oil you can cook ten more meals for the amount I had left after my meal. Never again and I don’t recommend this place.
