This was my 1st time @ Bubbakoos in West Orange and likely my last. I was shopping in West Orange and noticed there was one there. After eating several times at the Union location. I was expecting the same quality of food and was disappointed. I ordered the Chiwawa queso and hibachi shrimp. I even paid an additional fee for extra queso. Needless to say the rice was under cooked and for $17 the portion was nothing to be desired. The food was inedible due to the crunchy rice and it was extremely dry. The store was very clean and the staff was nice and welcoming. However, that is not enough for me to return and get nothing in return. To say I am disappointed is an understatement.

When I say the steak was so over cooked and a spec of a portion with my hibachi steak and shrimp bowl but massive amount of rice to fill the bowl up…wild. Flavor is good that’s about it

I experienced a minor issue during pick. When I walked to the counter I told the guy at the counter my name and that I was there for a pick up. I saw a black bag sitting right at the register to which he looked at and told me one second. He proceeded to help the lady that came in after me, she was handing him a dollar bill so I’m assuming she ran to her car to get it. But soon after that they started going back and forth about the amount and what she ordered. Then a woman working there started trying to explain whatever to the woman. All while I’m standing there waiting for my order. I finally interjected and asked was that my food! And yes it was! So instead of just handing me my food he took someone that walked in after me and decided to have a discussion all while I’m standing there assuming that’s my order! Very disappointed in the customer service I received today!

The quesadillas were amazing. The churros were actually 10/10 the atmosphere is very comfortable. The service was amazing overall I will definitely come back for lunch on a daily.
