I went here on Friday (their first day open) and returned on Sunday for brunch. Both times I had a good experience, good food, and good service. They are still working things out since they JUST opened so I recommend giving them some time to perfect their experience. All in all, I wish them the best!!

Johanna was wonderful! The French toast, pancakes and deviled eggs were so decadently delicious! The drinks were spot on. The place is so beautiful too! Will definitely be back!

We came in and ordered two meals, a salad and soy garlic noodles. The food was a solid 3/10 until we noticed the chicken was uncooked and there was a hair in our noodles. When we tried to return it, we went about it as respectfully as possible. The worker just got mad at us, took the food to the kitchen, then tried giving us a 50% discount (Mind you, probably only about 10-20% of our food was eaten before noticing, we left the rest untouched after that.) We could have at least been given the option to be brought replacement dishes.

The worker denied that the chicken was uncooked and said all of the chefs wear hairnets, which doesn’t negate the fact there was a hair in our food.

We then spoke to the manager, who initially did not agree to let us leave until we showed him photos. We ended up not having to pay, but only after doing far more explaining than necessary after seeing two blatant health code violations in the same meal.

The manager handled the situation well with professionalism, but the worker gave us dirty looks as we left.

Additionally, a bartender was just making out with some guy in the middle of the restaurant. Like you’re working right now what are you doing.

Also, why would a restaurant do an automatic 18% tipping policy? That’s just a sneaky way to cheat people out of their money.

Overall 5 stars, I went today for brunch by myself. My waitress, Jacky, took my order and made sure everything was good with my food and drink. Gaby brought out my food with a smile and got me extra sauce as asked for. Friendly staff, good atmosphere, and 5 star food. Recommending this place to all my friends.

My friend and I were excited to try this new-to-the-neighborhood restaurant.

When I walked in, I really liked the clean and minimalist vibe — urban chic, elevated for the area, and spacious. Lots of seating without people feeling like they’re on top of each other.

Our waitress, Venecia, was a star. She gave great recommendations, welcomed us with genuine warmth, and was attentive. We ordered the famous pancake followed by the seafood grits for my friend and the egg breakfast for me. Portions sizes were big while maintaining quality flavors and came out quickly. Our pancakes hadn’t come before our mains, so we jokingly asked if it could be “a dessert” pancake. Venecia really took care of us and ended up bringing us two pancakes! They were perfectly fluffy, the compote was 10/10, and the bourbon butter added a depth of flavor.

We will totally be back for dinner, and hope to have Venecia again.

We were excited to try Fork & Kitchen after seeing several social media posts advertising their opening and that they had fluffy pancakes. Decided to come to their opening brunch, which ended up being a mistake.

The first thing we noticed when we arrived was the complete lack of any sort of atmosphere or ambiance in the restaurant. It really felt just like an open warehouse without a finished ceiling. We got our menus and immediately noticed the menu was missing many brunch items advertised on their website’s brunch menu. While it’s possible this was because it’s opening weekend, no one said anything about that. We ordered juice, the Sunday burger, and a double stack of their pancakes, and then the wait began. (Side note – I initially wanted to order 3 pancakes and our waitress down sold them saying that because they were large, I should only order 2.)

The first thing to arrive were the pancakes and while they were large as advertised, they were also oddly tough, totally inconsistently cooked being burned on one side and nearly raw on the other, and missing the cinnamon butter as described on the menu. Then the single order of juice arrived. And then about 15 minutes after the pancakes, the burger arrived. The burger was missing bacon and sauce as described on the menu, but more so, the burger was so tough and chewy. The burger was also topped with scrambled eggs which we thought was unusual as most breakfast burgers come with a runny sunny-side up egg.

Overall, we were very underwhelmed with the restaurant and it was clear from other customers dining at brunch that the issues we faced were common. The waitstaff routinely apologized for the kitchen being backed up, which was a reason for entrees not coming out at the same time. Hopefully these issues are confined to opening weekend but we would not recommend going as this time.

Came in on Day 1 of Fork & Kitchen and had a great first impression.

The space has a South Beach meets lounge vibe — very white, very chic, high ceilings, good energy. We sat at the bar and they had around 16 beers on tap. $7 for a draft on opening day? Either that’s a strong launch special or this is about to be my new go-to beer spot.

Food highlights:

• Garlic Parmesan wings – Big, meaty wings with a legit crust. Good garlicky punch, fresh grated parm on top. Not skimpy. These were solid.
• Sinful eggs – A fun twist on deviled eggs. Fried, almost hash brown-esque on the outside. Crispy, creamy, different in a good way.
• Cheeseburger – Huge, juicy patty on a soft brioche bun. Messy in the right way. Fries were just okay, but the burger carries the plate.

It’s opening week, so there are a few small kinks to iron out, but that’s expected. The bones are good. The vibe is good. The wings alone are worth coming back for.

Rooting for this place — and I’ll be back.
