This place rocks, but only because Dawn bartends here! If you don’t already know her, make sure you get to know her. She’s one of those rare gems that very few people are lucky enough to intimately get to know. But she will greet you with a smile, serve you a cold drink, ask how your day was and actually mean it. I’ve only met her a few times myself, but Dawn is truly beautiful, inside and out. Yet she remains incredibly humble and almost bashful if you compliment her. So stop in late at night on a weekend and she’ll most likely be there. Be sure to say hello, and know that you just got the rare opportunity to meet an angel! (No, I do not have a crush on her. I just appreciate and praise authentic people on the rare occasions I meet them.)
Dawn – yo go girl! Keep doin’ the dam thang! ❤️

Cute pool table but long line, I can’t drink alcohol and when I asked bartender if she had coffee (didn’t think so, but worth a shot) she looked @ me like I was crazy & had attitude!!!

4.50 for a can of Miller lite, and “running a tab” consists of the bartender writing your CC info with the expiration and CVV code on the back of a guest check sitting out in the open with everyone else’s card info, no thanks

Great local ‘come as you are’ spot. Gives you that “Cheers” show bar type feeling with its regular bar patrons that know each other well and bartenders who make an effort to get to know you and your drink preferences. The juke box, pool table, ping pong table and old school bowling game make it all the more fun and entertaining. This place never fails to decorate heavily for each of the holiday seasons that roll along. If your not comfortable in a laid back dive bar setting and are somewhat judge-mental then this place is not going to be for you. No worries though as there are many other local fancy pants and posh joints around for you to visit without going there and spewing a bad review. I, and many others, though find this eclectic, casual atmosphere quite comfortable and cozy after a long week of dealing with folks that tend to take life a little too seriously.

This place was awful as viewed from a first time visitor. Did not come off at all as welcoming. Went with my girlfriend and her friend to have a few drinks and play some pool. Atmosphere was dark and regular clientele was shady. One of the regulars who I can only assume was high on something would not leave us alone even when asked politely. At one point we are pretty sure he tried to put something in my gf’s drink as he suspiciously took it from the table where it was and over to the bar where he was and then brought it back. Couldnt prove it and he denied it but she didnt drink it and I got her another. We were able to shoot pool and enjoy ourselves for a while dispite the issues however I dont believe we will be back. Seems like a good place to go if you are a regular but seemed very unsettling for us as first timers and not a place I recomend any woman go by herself. Perhaps we went on a bad night but still, bad experience all in all.

$4.25 for a can of Miller Light??? In the diviest of dive bars lol. Taking advantage of the locals who walk here. The Hide Away is a much better option

Splendid time, when we arrived to this fine establishment it was obvious that only the cream of the crop was allowed nside due to the front door being locked. After entering the sweet aroma of nicotine filled the air. This dive still lives in the era where smoking isnt prohibited dispite it actually being totally prohibited by law. The other friendly patrons grumbled to us that the bar tender would be back in a few minutes to serve us. On her entrance we were presented with a list of craft bottled bullshit. Nothing better than a fine aged bud light. Sweet to the taste. After finishing a round of billiards on the chalk covered table we departed with a tip of a hat…and a grumble. We rode off into the sunset on the NJ transit….never again.

We went on a Monday night and we were the only people there, it was like we had the place to ourselves. We played pool and enjoyed ourselves. Soda from the fountain was a bit watery. There’s a vending machine for bar snacks.

Eh. Only went here to hang out with my friend. It was Kinda expensive for a bottle of beer.. no drafts are served here….. Didn’t have any of the liquor that I drink which is pretty common every day bar drinks.. I like the atmosphere tho here. But there was rarely anybody in this place.
