The food and drink menu are unique and very intriguing. The bread service is phenomenal, and their herb olive oil some of the best I have had. The seafood tower is excellent and all the small plates were good.

My partner and I dined here in October 2024 for our anniversary. He ordered a 12oz Filet Migon, as opposed to his usual Ribeye because our waitress informed us the Ribeye is quite marbled (has fat) and my partner was wanting to eat the less fattier cut. He ordered the cut medium, but it came out medium rare. The waitress did offer to take the steak back to recook, but he didn’t want to risk overcooking it. He enjoyed the steak with the butter sauce he ordered, but he stated he’ll stick with his usual Ribeye for next time. I ordered the Bay Scallop Risotto, and as our waitress said, it’s the perfect fall dish; it was warm, beautifully plated, and a large portion (I had to take half home). We both shared the broccolini, mac and cheese, potatoes au gratin, and fried blue crab legs and all were warm and delicious!! We also ordered a dessert: the special cake, which wasn’t on the menu. We wanted the cookies and cream ice cream cake, but with us having a reservation 1.5 hrs before closing and the restaurant being extremely busy, they were out. We had the special cake, which was filing and HUGE, but I think we would’ve preferred the cookies and cream cake, but that’s just personal preference (based on taste profiles).

In addition to the food, the greeter was nice and our waitress, Brooklyn, was informative and attentive. The restaurant was extremely busy, so while we were waiting on Brooklyn, the greeter gave us water. Brooklyn then answered our questions about drinks and the food. The bartender that night made me a delicious drink, which I gave her full control of besides the base (champagne). We spent about $230 total (this price is without gratuity).

The atmosphere is dim with individual mood lightings on tables and a blue back lighting throughout the seating area. The music was suitable for the fancy aesthetic and it wasn’t too loud, even though it was packed.

As we were leaving, we asked a staff member to take our picture and he took several so we had options (he changed the lighting, angles, etc)!! To top off this experience, the staff gave us a card for our anniversary, which was so sweet! We don’t even know anyone who works there, so the fact strangers took time out of their day, it means a lot and we will definitely go back.

We had dinner here this past weekend and it was a great experience. The filet was a really great cut of beef with awesome flavor and that perfect crust on top. All the sides, desserts and cocktails were really good as well.

Atmosphere is nice but cozy, has that upscale look with a social vibe

We will definitely visit again.

My father was a chef, the original owner of J. Broussard’s in Columbus MS, Joseph Broussard. I was training and supervising grown men in his kitchen when I was in middle school. That being said, I am NOT easily impressed when I eat at a high-end restaurant. I usually leave high-end restaurants thinking about how much better I could have prepared the food, myself, regretting the amount of money that I’ve spent. This wasn’t the case when I took my wife to 44 Prime for her birthday, tonight. I was VERY impressed by both the food and the quality of the service. The male server had a well-manicured beard, and a positive vibe that made the entire experience more relaxing for my wife and myself. He thoroughly attended to our every desire, but still gave us the space we needed to really enjoy each other’s company. He had the perfect combination of professionalism and chill vibes. The fried crab claws were excellent. The remoulade served with them was delicate enough that it didn’t overpower the flavor of the claws. My wife and I each ordered a ribeye, and they were both cooked perfectly to our preferred temperatures. The sear on the steaks was flawless. I had mine topped with truffle butter, and it was a perfect complement to the high-quality meat. The green beans that I had with my steak weren’t overcooked. They actually seemed like they might have been blanched to order. I found them quite impressive, as I did every aspect of this fine dining experience. I feel like we really got what we paid for, and I will definitely be back next time I feel like celebrating with a great meal.

Haven’t eaten here but my son is one of the chefs. The atmosphere is AMAZING and from the way my son talks about his co-workers and my experience with the head chef, they are amazing people.

Edit: I FINALLY got to dine at this AMAZING place. I truly enjoyed myself and the food. It’s a foodie’s heaven. My son prepares the calamari appetizer and he knows his mother, so this what is down here is actually only about a half of their actual serving. It was so good that he knew I wouldn’t have myself for the rest of my meal, and he was correct. The pork chop steak was so juicy and tender. It’s level of sophistication was far surpassed any pork chop/steak I’ve ever had, and OMG! Do not get me started on the creme brulee!!! I had to remember I was in public and had manners!!! Please do and treat yourself and tell them KeeKee said hi. It won’t do anything for you. I just wanted you to tell them hi!

Came for my 21st birthday and just moved to the area for work and this was the only upscale near the area so we gave it a try, I left a review via directly to the restaurant but haven’t heard back. I was extremely disappointed, the waiter was very friendly but not very attentive as you get bread for a starter and we had to ask 4 times and didn’t receive it till our full meal got here. We spent $200 just for two people and the food was not great, we both got a appetizer which was the oysters and shrimp cocktail which was great and fresh but we also ordered drinks that were okay and a wedge salad to spilt and that took a very long time to get to our table which the restaurant was not very busy at this time. We both ordered our meals which he got the Ribeye and Mac and cheese and I got the salmon with mashed potatoes well that was very disappointing and not good. His steak was very over cooked so he sent it back and once again it was over cooked and barely able to cut through it, my salmon had absolutely no flavor what so ever it had no seasoning and tasted bland. They forgot to bring his side so after he sent the steak back he asked for the side and once more took a long time to receive it and it was the wrong side as well as the over cooked steak again! Once again asked and they brought out the Mac a cheese which was good. The waiter then asked if we wanted a dessert for my birthday so I said yes thinking most restaurants give you something jus to be nice for birthdays or celebrations and then proceeded to charge me full price for the dessert which was extremely expensive and dissatisfied. You should not act like it’s included for a birthday if it is not. Overall I think it is extremely overpriced and food quality is not there.

Jordan our server was wonderful and made sure we enjoyed our time. The food was middle of the road as the quality of the meat wasn’t the greatest. For the money charged, I expected much better.

Had a really good meal My steak was perfectly cooked, and the chop salad was excellent. The asparagus tasted too salty in my opinion, but it was otherwise cooked well. My wife was also very happy with her food.

Our table looked out over the rest of the restaurant, which affected the intimacy of our date night, but that was my only quibble.

I sincerely believe they keep the lighting so dim so you can’t really see the food when they bring it out. Ordered a tuna tartare app and the avocado on top was completely brown as if it had been sitting out all day. For my entree ordered a ribeye medium rare (which was $58 btw!) and it came to the table clearly overcooked, as you can see in the picture. Asked the waitress to take it back and after about 30 seconds, she walks back out with THE SAME STEAK and a flashlight asking me to double check that it wasn’t cooked properly. At that point I just had her remove it from my ticket. Very weird experience and not impressed with the food at all.
