We specialize in smoking Beef Dino Ribs, Beef Brisket, Pork Spare Ribs, Chicken wings, and reverse searing Lamb! All plates are served with jasmine rice. A Whole Vibe and Late-Night Perfection
My partner and I were on an out-of-town trip and needed something open late. After a quick Google search, we stumbled upon Dress Blue BBQ. From the moment we walked onto the compound, we felt welcome. Walking through the lit open-air seating, with blues music, the inviting aroma of BBQ, and the vibrant art murals, you’re pulled in right away.
The atmosphere, from the big Texas truck to the owner in his apron hat with true southern hospitality, signaled that the food would be outstanding. We placed our order and wandered around admiring the murals. After a wonderful chat with the pitmaster, we learned that we’re supporting a veteran-owned business—that made the experience even better.
When our food arrived, it did not disappoint. I’d never had smoked oxtail before, and it was amazing—the meat was incredibly tender, falling off the bone, and the fries were full of flavor. The smoke wings were grilled to perfection. It’s absolutely worth it—a whole vibe. We’ll definitively be returning.
Would recommend to anyone looking for late-night BBQ with great hospitality and a memorable atmosphere.

Their team was warm, welcoming, and genuinely committed to making the experience special. The barbecue itself was good—smoked and flavorful, not award winning but certainly satisfying and fulfilling. It’s clear they’re still finding their footing, but the quality and care they put into their food and service show real potential. The whole place is a vibe! The open air dining. The artwork. The food. It’s all fantastic. We ordered some of everything, and did not have a bite that wasn’t spectacular. Hands down the best smoked turkey leg I have ever eaten. The chicken wings were, by far, the best texture of chicken wing that has ever crossed my lips. Pulled pork… Life altering. Big Tex is putting his heart into that smoker. Outstanding, start to finish.

Stop by on Sunday afternoon. The brisket and lamb were amazing . They were out of rice so he threw in some Mac and cheese and coleslaw instead. They were both delicious. I can not wait to go back to try the bbq sandwich. I would highly recommend. The food and service were definitely 5 stars !!!

Still my favorite bbq place in RVVAM. I was too late for the pork ribs (sold out, as were rthe coleslaw and potato salad.) beef ribs were good, but not as good as the pork.

Lambchops were good, the Mac and Cheese needed more seasoning, or I’m not used to smoked Mac and cheese. My mother didn’t like the beef spare ribs, she said they weren’t seasoned either. I’ll give it another try because it’s a BOB. Price is a little high. Freshly cooked.

Had the absolute pleasure of dropping by Uncle Jim’s for an impromptu bite and it was so worth it! We got the brisket platter and two brisket sliders, all were delicious. The brisket fat melted in your mouth, the Texas toast was incredibly tasty, and the portions were large and worth every penny. We also got to meet the owner, who generously gave us an ice cream sandwich as well. We hope to be back soon!
