The restaurant has a clean and well-organized interior, and the staff are generally friendly. I especially enjoyed the milkshake—it was rich and satisfying. I first tried Shake Shack burgers after visiting the Macy’s in Roseville, and while this isn’t my second time, I’ve had their burgers several times in the past. I usually stick to the same menu, particularly the mushroom burger, which used to have a distinct salty and savory flavor. This time, however, it tasted a little more bland, almost as if the recipe had changed. It wasn’t bad—it still has that “healthy” taste—but it didn’t feel as delicious as before. Overall, it’s decent but not outstanding.
In addition to our food experience dining there, I had left my purse there. Didn’t notice until the next morning. The manager and the staff confirmed they found my purse and kept it safely over night!
Thank you so much for the kindness, and commend you for the integrity!!
burgers look nothing like the photos advertised. 2 burgers, an order of fries for 1, a shake and 1 soda cost over $50! Ordered the black truffle burger, it was good but definitely on the salty side, really flat, small, put together very sloppily, and had big pieces of onions. Didn’t look remotely close to the photo. Such a disappointment and annoyed.
Food is great and my go to is always the Shack Burger. I think the ratio of bun, toppings and patty is perfect especially when it comes out nice and hot. Definitely recommend eating right away! It is a bit pricey when you compare it to In N Out down the street, but I think the shorter wait (hopefully that stays) and quality might be worth it. In addition to being able to order ahead on the app!
Also got the black truffle fries and a Cookies and Cream shake. The crinkle cut fries are always good, and the truffle sauce was interesting to try. I always enjoy the shakes and are what I compare other fast food places to, so I definitely recommend trying.
Staff were very friendly and attentive, and the inside was very nice. Glad to see Palladio getting some more food places closer to good parking.
Right when we stepped in, we were greeted multiple times by various staff. Energetic enthusiasm filled the air! A huge crew of employees were working on this particular weekday evening. We ordered at the counter with an employee. But ordering can also be done at the kiosk. Hubs and I ordered a Shake Shack cheeseburger, hot dog, chocolate milkshake and lemonade. It set us back about $25.
They bring out the drinks and food. There are no drink dispensers out in the dining area. If you want a refill, you have to go to the counter to ask. This process is a bit difficult for an old bear like me to get used to. The lemonades are made out of cane sugar, no HFCS. Yes! $4.59 for a small. The dining area is pretty large. Chill, comfortable vibes.
Onto the fooood. The Shake burger is a cheese burger with lettuce and tomatoes. Don’t get that confused with the cheeseburger which comes without the lettuce and tomato. We almost ordered the wrong one. Hubs was feeling generous and offered me a bite. I took a small bite since it was not particularly large. Good flavors! Angus beef. The hot dog is all beef and split grilled. It had a nice snap to it, and it’s Vienna beef hot dog. It’s regular hot dog size. $4.99. Hubs ordered a shake but it didn’t come with whipped cream even though the menu pictures did. Another thing I noticed is this location doesn’t offer a non dairy chocolate shake or custard while most other Shake Shacks do. Aw shucks. I even asked the cashier and she confirmed.
Overall great addition to the Folsom food scene.
I love that the young lady asked me if there was any additional condiments she was very attentive for just picking up a to-go order!
Way to go shake shack!
I knew shake shack was expensive before going in, but $13 for a burger that is barely bigger than a slider is ridiculous. No fries, no drink. The burger patty itself was dry and mostly tasteless. The Black Truffle spread was the only redeeming quality. The restaurant, staff, and products are all fast-food quality. There are plenty of nearby restaurants with much better quality food at similar prices.
UPDATE: shake shack gave me a voucher to give them another try, and the new burger was much better, however the prices are still ridiculous, but I guess that’s just the times we live in.
