Always delicious bbq. These guys know how to cook. Come here every week for lunch during work and it is always a meal to look forward too. Delicious cheesy corn and other sides. Reasonable price for the portion you get. Definitely have to come check it out if your driving by. Place is always very clean and friendly staff.

Tasty BBQ, we had the Ribs, Sliced Brisket, and Pulled Pork. All tasty however the brisket could have been better, I found it to be overcooked and dry. That wouldn’t stop me from trying this place again though.
Service and ambiance were great, sides were decent, value was excellent (price for quantity).

Best BBQ in town!! Anything you get here will be awesome! Brisket baked potato is my personal favorite but the ribs are definilty top favorite. So good! Give them a try.

Fall off the bone ribs. Melt in your mouth brisket. Good sides. Fantastic barbecue at a good price. Will absolutely return here. Just wish they had brewed iced tea instead of bottled.

Three meat plate had more than enough food. Ribs were delicious. Brisket was on point. Jalapeño sausage was ok. Coleslaw was excellent as was the jalapeño cream corn.

The brisket and the barbecue sauce were awesome. But of course the Methodist Church Ladies Potluck dishes prolly made the barbecue even better.

The ribs and brisket here are definitely the best around town, hands down. But I’ve got to say, I’m not thrilled about the sauce situation. It’s a bit of a letdown that they charge extra for more sauce, especially when it’s nothing special. I was leaning towards giving them 4 stars, but then there’s the Mac and Cheese… My buddy and I first tried it and thought it was pretty bland, hoping it was just an off day. But then, eating there again with another friend, it came up again still bland and this time, it felt overcooked. I’m no chef, but even the great value mac and cheese you whip up from a box at home packs more punch. It feels odd to make a big deal out of mac and cheese, but really, it could use some work. That said, the place is good. The Loaded Fries are a must-try. Just maybe skip the Mac Attack and mac and cheese sides.

I’ve lived and eaten good BBQ in Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, and Georgia not to mention the states I’ve traveled through. The Rusty Pit is the best I’ve found. Head Country BBQ in Ponca City Oklahoma is the only other one close to being that good.
At my first lunch there while visiting town last week I had the brisket. It had a wonderfully wide and pink smoke ring and was fork tender throughout. Went back the next day for the ribs and was not disappointed. Every bit as good as the brisket.
If it’s around lunchtime and you’re within 40 miles of Hereford, give yourself a treat and head to the Rusty Pit.
