Spectacular recommendation, so glad I stopped in to meet Jay and have his one-of-a-kind Pork, Steak, and Cheese sub. It was absolutely delicious and the customer service was even better! Will definitely be by again next time I’m in the area. Thank you so much

There’s a big difference between a sandwich and a sandwich made with love; you can taste it, and there’s LOVE in every bite here. The only reason I didn’t give Parkway Eatery 5⭐️s is because I haven’t had a chance to try enough, but the food is definitely cooked with love. The service is amazing. Mr. Young is super friendly and even came out to my car to make sure that my order was right, because I forgot to order onions. I would order here every day!
It’s clean, stocked with fresh coffee, has a decent selection of snacks and is just a pleasant atmosphere. I’ll be back!

Simple, delicious and affordable, clean and relaxing environment. I popped in because I had an appointment in the area and just wanted to go to a typical moco diner. What sets this place apart is that the owner definitely puts so much care and pride into the food and his business. He’s also so upbeat and easygoing, humming while shuffling around. The vibe put a smile on my face and relaxed me when many times I get anxious and want to be left alone.
I see why they have lots of regulars. Definitely will be back if in the area.

For those who want a short version of my review:
Excellent food. Homemade, real and fresh ingredients since the 80s. No frills. Just good, old-school deli with sandwiches and more. Survived COVID. Small, family-owned business.
Detailed version:
I’ve been going to this deli since I was 8 years old, which was 29 years ago. My parents took me there and we never stopped going.
Everything on their menu is great, but personally, my favorite menu items are the Reuben, their classic Steak and Cheese sub, Chicken Noodle Soup and Deviled Eggs. The Reuben on rye is just delicious, comforting, greasy goodness with their homemade thousand island dressing and a little bit of coleslaw. I don’t know if the coleslaw is what already comes with it because they know my order and don’t ask, but I enjoy that extra crunch and little bit of sweetness in the sandwich.
Their Steak and Cheese are a classic and still so good. I remember in the 90s when people used to line up out the door to wait for this sub.
The Chicken Noodle Soup is seasonal and usually only available during the fall and winter. Hands down best chicken noodle soup you will find in the MoCo and surrounding areas. The owner Jay makes it himself now but he uses his mother’s homemade secret recipe. I remember her and her husband. She was their secret weapon. She made all the recipes for all their homemade foods. Her husband was the taste tester and always chilling at a table reading a Korean newspaper until it was time for him to sweep. They passed away years ago, but they were there everyday.
The deviled eggs contain relish, so it might not suite everyone’s tastes, but I love it. So simple, so fresh, just good.
There is a lot of history in their ingredients and recipes. They always put love and care into their food and that’s why we haven’t stopped going. Hope you all give them a try.

Love the Ruben sandwich. Lunch only takes a few minutes to be served. Call in for take out always ready when I get there. Reasonable prices. Frequent once a week.

This place is a blast from the past. It has not changed since 1989. It is like walking into a set on Stranger Things. Totally 1980’s. The food is fresh and delicious. Mr. Young is a great host and proprietor, always willing to give you the delicious food you want!
