We ordered large jerk chicken, large oxtail and small oxtail. Total was $64 plus tip. We requested side order of greens, side order of yams, and Mac and cheese- NONE of which was available , they do not serve?! The platter included cabbage and rice a peas. All plates were small to size with extremely small portions. Jerk chicken had a sweet flavor and didn’t taste jerk at all. Wasn’t a bad taste but not jerk (even if considered mild- more sweet taste). Cabbage was dry minimal flavor. Rice and peas were ok. Sides were dry and sitting too long. Ox tail fatty, small, not good cut. Minimal flavor. Atmosphere was ok but not necessarily clean. No gloves worn when dishing out food- noticed immediately. Cabbage and rice and peas are precooked and dry-open to air on line. Customer service poor, unfriendly. Area and parking were ok- recommend parking at lot across the street. Give this restaurant 3/10. Would not recommend.

I was very curious when I saw Jamaican restaurant in Binghamton, so instead of ordering from Uber Eats I drove to the location 4mins to see if it was authentic. For sure it was and a Jamaican served me..Jay. The food did not disappoint . I had the oxtail and white rice ( the coconut rice and peas had too many peas for my liking). The oxtail was seasoned just right and cooked at the perfect texture. I had a small piece of curry chicken added to my meal, it too was good. If had to go back I would have the full curry chicken meal. Real yardie food. See before and after pics

Medium sized curry chicken (takeout) with yellow rice was delicious and ample, enough for two meals. The chicken was just so so so tender. Slightly salty but it’s my first time trying Caribbean food so perhaps it’s the norm.

Absolutely fantastic jerk chicken and the mac and cheese is also excellent. The portions are extremely generous compared to the cost. Today I tried the Plantains and fell in love. I really cannot recommend this place enough. DELICIOUS.

I’ve ordered from here a few times before and thought their food would be great for a dinner party of 8 people. I was nervous to call because there isn’t a “catering” section of their menu, but the owner personally answered the phone and was very kind and accommodating. I got a full pan of rice, jerk chicken, 5 lbs of oxtails, and some cabbage and plantains. He also gave me two 2L bottles of soda for free, and I only spent $250. The price was cheaper than I thought it would be, but the owner said that he likes to give a lot of food to customers, and he even gives some to the homeless, which is very heartwarming. My guests loved the food, and they all took a plate home with them! If you want to order from a place that is generous and run by great people, please give this place a try!

Just ordered the curry chicken with yellow rice for lunch and am very satisfied. Portion size is good for the price and is comparable to Chinese food portions if you order out. The food is hot, fresh, and was ready on time. The flavor is well balanced and not overpowered with too many spices. I am a first time customer and will definitely be returning for lunches and dinners. I can’t state enough how great the flavor is. Well done to the chef!!

Went here b/c De Island Hut wasn’t open and when I arrived I noticed flies flying all over the place and how dirty the interior was. After a wait I got my food and when I dug in I noticed that it did not taste good at all. If u want decent Caribbean food don’t go here!

Oxtails are excellent! Im not that much of a rice person but the rice & peas here is very, very good. Brown stew chicken was excellent as well. Mac n cheese is edible but not great.
Honestly one of the best restaurants in town! Definitely will be eating here again!
